Visited on a friday night. Kind of a weird place with all the clubby stuff going on the floors below but we had a nice rooftop view and a table on the last floor. A couple of good pints were available, had some firestone walker there. Prices were decent, atmosphere was a little too clubby to enjoy beer to my taste but not bad.

I’ve been to the rooftop bar here a few times, which is fun enough except for the smokers, and the fact that there are fewer craft beers here than there are on the second floor. Second floor is aquarium land, with fish tanks scattered about, and a larger beer selection. As far as I can tell, the ground floor should only be frequented by people in cat woman outfits. An interesting place for sure.

Reef, to most people who are DC locals, would seem an odd choice to put in ratebeer places. But this is definitely a three story crazy club that happens to really like craft beer for some reason. First floor is some weird jungle shit with weirdos so skip that floor. Second floor is a giant dance club slash aquarium at night with a massive circular bar that has about 15 craft beer taps. When I was there last they had some Jolly Pumpkin La Roja on tap- pretty impressive. Allagash White is obviously a static tap. But really the selection is quite good considering this is a hot night venue in Adam’s Morgan, which is sort of like the Bourbon St of DC. Third floor is a sweet outdoor patio/roof deck but with a limited tap list. I have no idea what is on tap on the bottom floor because I got the fuck out of there as fast as I could. Ambiance is a 5/5 if you like a crazy place to hang out and dance. It is a 0/5 if you are looking for peace in quite. If you are looking for the latter, head over to Black Squirrel.

Reef is a solid bar, decent selection, great location. The real bonus this place offers is that, when people want to go out in Adams Morgan, at least Reef will give you a decent beer option.

I’ve been here on a couple weekend nights now and have to say that I rather like the atmosphere, which is like a loud bar/club mixed with an aquarium, mixed with a good beer selection. Nothing mind blowing on the menu, but a couple belgian taps, Allagash White and a rotating tap of one of their special releases, A couple good IPA-type beers and some other ales and lagers. The selection was pretty different the two times I have been, which is a definite plus. There are fish tanks everywhere on the second floor, and plenty of tables overlooking the bustling 18th street Adams Morgan nightlife. The heated outside deck on the roof has its own bar with the same selection of taps as downstairs, but they will only serve plastic glasses incase anyone feels like throwing their chalice at a random person on the street below. Bonus that they did serve my De Konink in a stemmed glass even if it was plastic. As a college student going out with friends on the weekend, this offers the best of both worlds: a busy

This is a nice place but i have only been on the roof deck. A decent selection of belgian beers is avaliable at high cost. The hemp oil hummas that we got was really good though. Nice joint and its right across the street from my home office.

The trendy crowd always turned me off a bit here, with uptight young folks drinking sweet Belgian girly beer from flutes and paying dearly for it. But the beer selection is decent, served in proper glasses (except on the roof). And I always liked the fish and the nice rooftop view. Gives you something to look at when you can’t hear each other talk.

Cool place that i just happened to walk into in Adams Morgan. Pretty good tap list. Chimay, De Konick, Clipper City & Hennepin to name a few. Good atmosphere. Didn’t make it upstairs but pretty good place.

I liked this place. It had a great ambiance with the fish tanks on the middle level, a great roof top patio, and a loungesque bottom level all along DCs hot strip, Adams Morgan. Nice and clean inside keeps the place classy while still having some beer related decor of taps lining along the ceiling. The people weren’t the greatest, and beware Tuesday night is kareoke. The beer list wasn’t extensive by any means, but only Miller Light as a true macro, and maybe Yuenling. Agree with jeffin7 if you want a table come early. I really liked it, prices a little high, but its adams morgan. Server was great, enthusiastic and funny. No pretention which you can find around the area quite often.
