August 2006: First you should know that at the moment Thirsty Bull is NOT brewing; apparently they did have their own beer briefly early in the year but have had some kind of QC problems lately and have nothing now. Currently there are 8 taps of all VT stuff, nothing too exciting. The ambiance is typical rustic north woods/hunting lodge, but they have a really nice patio overlooking the river so that gets points. Service was nice too, but the food (burger with seemingly canned mushrooms and pre-packaged fries) was really mediocre, so I cannot recommend this place at the moment. Will update when/if they start serving own beer again. |
