The Winooski Bevvy is far and away the best one-stop shopping place for beer in the Burlington area, and probably in the whole state. If they don't have it, chances are either they're just out of it, or its not available in the state. A whole room is devoted to beer, with every VT micro that bottles represented, including growlers of Shed and Rock Art. McNeills selection is sometimes different from City Market's. Staff usually isn't proactive about helping you, but will give it the college try if asked. Much of the stock is in coolers. One of the larger wine and spirits selections in the area as well. About 2 1/2 miles (4 km) from downtown Burlington.

daknole | Good selection of local, us and belgians...but zero service. no one even offered to help or even said a simple hello. at least the selection is good.

Boutip | This store is located not too far from downtown Burlington and offer a great selection of imported and micro beers. Located behind a corner store in a large cement building and parking is easily available. Selection is quite large considering that the law was just change in Vermont to allow beer over 8% to be sold. Most American staples are available including Rogue, Smuttynose, Unibroue, Ommegang, Allagash as well as all of Vermont micro brewer (Mcneill’s Rock Art, Otter Creek). Staffs were helpful and very serviceable. It is too bad I went with the law just being changed since the selection is really increasing at the moment and should be really interesting in a couple of months.

craftycarl21 | great selection of rogue, smuttynose, sierra nevada, mcneills, unibroue, decent selection of many others, including stone, etc. incredible selection, especially considering the ridiculous 8% law in the state, which essentially disables them from having barley wine and imp. stouts. my favorite place in vermont by far.

| josarah | Regional beer, national beers & international beers, this place does a pretty darn good job considering Vermonts ancient beer laws. Along with the wine & liquor store this is a one stop shopping for beverage needs. My only problem is so many beer & so little time.

oteyj | Great selection of rogue, dogfish head, anchor, mcneills, and smuttynose amongst others. Pretty big place- a wing of non- alcoholic beverages, a wing of spirits, and a wing for wine and beer.

dkachur | Decent. We stayed in the Days Inn Colchester down the road, and this was convenient. Good selection of the local stuff, which was exactly what I was looking for.

notalush | I learned fairly quickly that you can judge a VT beer store by how many varieties of McNeills they carry, and by that criteria, this place is the best shop in the area - at least ten different McNeills when I was there (including the Imperial Stout, Reagin’s Stout, and Imperial IPA), plus every other Vermont micro and growlers from several area brewpubs - just about every import I’ve seen available, based on what I’ve seen scattered about other area beer stores - probably your best bet for finding beer in the area.

| alienink | Great place to get just about anything you need in terms of beer. Everything is always neat and easy to find. As said, if they dont have it, chances are they are out. I grabbed the last Youngs Double Chocolate Stout. I sure as hell hope they are stocked next time I go there (probably tomorrow)! The best for us people in VT. I am a 2 min drive away, thank goodness!

Rastacouere | Dull cementy warehouse. Very good selection considering Vermont’s laws and usual distribution, but on a national scale, this remains quite poor with the 8% ABV limit. Mostly macros or semi-macros and locals with a few mainstream english/german and belgian examples, highlight being cantillon gueuze, duponts, saison d’Épeautre. Can split sixes at least and it’s interesting for local ciders and meads. A few pints represent the glass selection.
