| sloth (14), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland | | October 15, 2008 Nice little pub in Cape Charles. Nice draft selection and bottle selection as well. Nice to see folks enjoying bottles of Roche 10 as they dine. Food is solid as was the service. Had Bells 2 Hearted, SN Harvest and several other decent draft offerings, a dozen or so total. The deep fried dill pickles were cool as was the shepards pie, filling! Nice setting and clean facilities. Over all a real delight in this part of VA. Definately worth a stop. | PurpleSage (1), Arlington, Virginia does not count - explanation | | May 6, 2008 Rotating selection of draughts, many bottles, and excellent food. Fun pub.
The music scene is like San Francisco in 1964 in that it’s forward looking, avant guard, ahead of the crowd. By the summer of love, everyone knew about San Fran (the dock of the bay...) and this is a secret cultural mecca, for now. It’s by the dock of the bay on the east coast. | | cchubb (11), Minneola, Florida | | March 26, 2008 A nice mix of local and import styles on the taps with a good selection of seasonals to keep you coming back. Food was hearty and not overly seasoned, served piping hot. Some beers served too cold and no proper glassware. Wait staff has no idea about beer they are serving, don’t bother asking. | skinny (1), cape charles, Virginia does not count - explanation | | August 29, 2006 great authentic pub atmosphere | FoodLovesBeer (1), does not count - explanation | | August 22, 2006 Wow! Who would have ever thought a place like this would emerge in Cape Charles? As if the effort put into decor and design weren’t enough, they actually have a great draft selection and solid food (try the sheperds pie). Stop in for a pint of Belhaven Scottish Ale-one of my favorites. |
