Great food. Great beer list. It’s not the BEST food I’ve ever had, but it is my favorite restaurant in CVille Apparently they’ve now gone out of busness. This is tragic to an absurd degree.

very close to where i used to live. a supposedly german bar that has expensive german style food and beer. honestly the food is terrible, but the waitress is quite friendly and it has a decent atmosphere.

This is a bar where you can fall in love with the beer AND the food! Not like the subpar food you find in most bars. The sausages are authentic Bavarian and there’s also sauerbraten and other German specialties. The beer selection is awesome (mostly German & Belgian - only a few macros here) and they add new beers every week it seems. They just had a HUGE Oktoberfest celebration (with 5 different German Oktoberfest beers) and still host a $2 beer & $2 bratwurst night every Thursday. The staff knows their beers and are very quick and friendly. They can handle large groups on a bench wall that offers communal seating and that’s usually what we see on Thursday nights. Happy hour is every day from 5-7 and they told me it was $1 off draft beers and $1 off most apps. And best of all they have an on/off license and the take-out prices for beer and wine are extremely reasonable!! We’ve seen the locals just stopping in to buy mini-kegs! I’m probably giving away a big secret because most people think this is just a restaurant. WELL worth checking out...we love this place.
