Very friendly service. Massive beer list. Not afraid to leave a burger a little bloody. 750 mL beer was corked and poured for us, which was a nice touch. Nice atmosphere. Parking is a little tight, but not horrible. Too bad I was the driver or I could have stayed a LOT longer.

Great place. $1 Burger night on Mondays. Steal the Glass on Tuesdays. And the Octoberfest celebration is a must. The draft selection covers all bases with high quality beers. My default dining/tasting location...

This place is pretty great. I’ve never seen so many taps in once place. Their selection outshines their downtown location, though, I still prefer the atmosphere downtown better. Definitely worth a stop if you can’t make it downtown.

Stopped by for the Kierstbier festival. Great food, excellent service and a wide selection of beer in both bottles and drafts i(over 65 taps, ncluding several local VA beers). Staff is very knowledgeable and goes out of the way to make you feel at home. Without a doubt worth a visit if you are in the area.

More upscale than downtown, more modern cleaner feel. Knowledgeable staff. Food is great, althoough selection somewhat limited, but this is a beer bar. Beer menu’s are up to date and thorough. Organized well. Outdoor area is nice, brook runs by only drawback is the tall buildings nearby. Prices could be a little less. Overall this is a real classy place with great food, service, events, great beer and nice setting.

Pretty wonderful place. From what I was reading about it I expected it to be a little bigger, but I really can’t complain. It’s not small by any means, but when I heard about "upstairs" and "downstairs" bars I expected more than just 2 or 3 steps separating the elevation of the two. But anyway.... We did not sit at the bar as one of us was underage and serving as DD. I did not eat the food, though it did look pretty good. From what I saw it was definitely pricey (like upscale city prices). The beers were not priced like that, and in fact they were relatively cheap for what we got. They are one of the few places that seems to actually care about the selection they have as they actually print a menu of all their beer (The disastrous trip to Tidewater’s Bier Garden proved that you can’t claim to have a huge selection without being able to back it up on paper, and while DC’s Brickskeller’s selection might be greater - their menu is always out of date), so it was refreshing to find a place that updates their menus just about every single week! The staff knew what they were doing, but became very slow at the end of the night (it seemed to get slower as the tables emptied!).

Selection is excellent, even had a cask of Victory Storm King. Food was good, although everything was high-priced. Waitstaff is nice, attentive and somewhat knowledgeable. Ice rail is something of a gimmick, and seems unnecessary, but its easy to avoid using it.
