Easily on of my favorite places to grab a good beer in the 804. The staff use to be VERY knowledgeable when Ben Petty was there, but their beer prowess (and homemade bitters) went downhill when he left. FANTASTIC food. I highly recommend the tuna sandwich with sweet potato fries. Its the best tasting, most value priced item on the menu. And the menu can be fairly pricey. But they have a good deal where you can sample (large samples) any 3 draft beers for $8.

Nice selection . Good ambiance. Nice date spot. Not so much of a bar scene.

Iíve been here four times. Beer Week got me in the door. They had a great selection and it was packed (but the crowd was very courteous and not rowdy). The second visit was to the bar for a tasty beer and a friendly chat with the knowledgeable bartender. Third and fourth visits I actually sampled the menu. Has a pretty good variety, not too pricey, Vegan and Gluten Free options so you can take guests with dietary restrictions. Even the veggie stuff was tasty. Facilities are nice without being too stuffy or chic. Until last visit happy with selection- nothing hoppy on tap last time. Bartender service good, other wait staff not as good (or as knowledgeable). Neighborhood borderline. My mom was a little put-off by the panhandlers at the bus stop outside. Will definitely put it into my rotation.

A nice, small eatery in downtown Richmond. The beer selection is solid, although short. The food is very good, and reasonably priced. The service is handy without getting annoying.

Iíve been trying to get here forever, and thankfully now that theyíre open Sundays for brunch I had the chance. Located West of downtown in a fairly urban setting. Parking kinda sucks, as you have to park in the neighborhood behind the place. Apparently you will be quickly towed if you park in the Rite-Aid lot next door. Old building and the inside has some classical touches. Exposed brick, nice dark wood bar and a glass front lets in lots of light. Small inside so I can imagine it can fill up quickly. With the exception of PBR, the beer list was well thought out and reasonably priced. Mostly American beers here, with a smattering of foreign beers. Sizeable bottle list, but the bottles seem to be reasonable priced for a restaurant. My omelet was well cooked and well seasoned. The dishes my companions had looked really damn tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall a nice stop... and one of the up and coming stars of the Richmond beer scene.

Nice to see another beer-centric location in Richmond. I was there during Richmond Beer Week, so it wasnít a typical night - they had 7 firkins going, many of which were new to the area. But having said that, the rest of the line up is interesting and apparently rapidly changing. Food looked to be decent. Waitress wasnít exactly in a great mood, but service was very fast and efficient. Small, and a bit noisy when crowded. Well worth stopping by if in the area. Donít park in the Rite-Aid parking lot, and try not to venture into nearby Jackson Ward.

Contemporary atmosphere in Richmondís urban core. Good selection of bottled beers. Drafts are carefully selected craft beers and change regularly. The bar tender knows his stuff! The food is excellent and prices are quite reasonable.
