RateBeer Brew Tour Guide's Comments
This is the biggest music spot in town, not counting arenas. You'd think that would be a bad thing, but this place has some great taps (Dogfish Head, DeGroens, Anchor, Rasputin, Liefmans) available.

can8ianben | I remember a small but impressively different range of beers on tap. The cost is high, but not too bad for a concert venue.

JoeinUccle | Hmmm, tough one. Great selection for a concert venue. But it is a concert venue, and that means it’s a shitty place to enjoy beer. Also expensive. But you don’t come here just to drink beer. You come here to see a band you love, otherwise you wouldn’t put up with the place at all. The good beers are a bonus.

swoopjones | came here for a thievery corporation show. Great concert hall with a great draft selection. Old Rasputin, DFH to name a few. Good place. Why can’t Buffalo have a place like this?

| kgdcclaret | As concert venues go, this place is great. As beer selections at concert venues go, the 9:30 has very few, if any, equals. There’s regional (Clipper City n Dogfish Head) and international (Boddingtons n Leffe) brews and usually enough places to sit down and enjoy yr beer.

jde123 | Definately the greatest music venue in the D.C. area, and probably the best venue I have ever been. The beer selection is quite decent as well. I ordered several dogfish head drafts, which is more than I can say about most of the smaller music venues I have visited. A nice place, nice beer selection, great music (provided you like the band you bought the tickets for, and I guess that is a given, since you did purchase the tickets to see the band). Overall, a nice place for a good beer while listening to good music, plus they have many vegetarian options for food!

murawski | I’m not even sure why 9:30 Club has been rated on RateBeer.com -- it has some of the worst beer I’ve ever had. Poor selection, poor quality, and it’s all watered down and skunky. Please do not insult RateBeer.com and beerdrinkers across DC.

General_Gao | Great place to catch live music acts. Mixed crowd of hipsters, college students, grad students, business types and the ever-present DC lawer. Good beer selection. The place is kind of like an old house and it almost feels like you’re hanging out a a college party house.

| wiseman | This is a good music venue, and they have a good beer selection, but half the time the beers, both on tap and in bottles, are old and very skunky. I get real tired of that.

| natep715 | Gave it such a high overall rating because where else can you see Brigt Eyes or David Byrne on a club stage while drinking a Dogfish. Helluva concert venue (everybody plays here!), and the grimy little bar downstairs is a cool place to take refuge if the opening act sucks.

BuckNaked | Probably one of the best music venues I’ve been to. Plenty of barspace on multiple levels to get your drink - and that drink includes some excellent beers on draught. I’ve never seen a club with beers like rasputin, DFH, lindemans and others on tap. You can be just about anywhere in this place and feel like you’re close to the band on stage.
