Definitely a must-visit if you’re in from out of town as they have a lot of local/regional beers you can’t get elsewhere. It’s a little bit out of the way and there aren’t any Metro stations that are very close. If you don’t have a car, you will probably have to hail a cab, as I did, after shopping. They offer lots of singles and have a fairly large selection of 750ml and 22oz bottles to choose from.

I grew up a few blocks from this place adn have seen it evolve. i moved away a long time ago, but have been back again and again especially in the past 10 years, because it has grown this amazing beer collection! I would like to spend more time here to meet the buyer and really go through the place. 30 years ago as a teenager I was buying Southern Comfort here. O my god! I’ve evolved right along with the place! A little history: one-and-a-half blocks to the south on Connecticut Ave is a place called Circle Liquors. Don’t go there to buy beer, but that is the place to find some amazing wines! So as Circle got bigger into wine while wine got bigger into the local cultur, CC got into beer in just as big a way, and I keep pinching myself hoping they realize the success that is for all of us. I recommend the place to anyone going to DC!

If they don’t have it, they’ll try to get it. Huge selection of various countries and American craft beer, but it’s organized in a very confusing manner. DO NOT HESITATE TO ASK FOR HELP! The staff knows where everything is. DON’T TRY TO FIND ANYTHING ON YOUR OWN! It would simply be a waste of your time, unless you like to window shop.

Wide availability of things that I can’t find other places locally. The online list is a great help for discovering rarities.

Well, this is a great stop if you’re in DC and want to grab stuff that may not be available in your area. Even though I’ve got a great local liquor store to shop at (statelineliquors.com), this place managed to have some stuff I couldn’t get AND wanted. I shopped off of their online list, weeded out stuff I could get anyway, and prioritized on things I hadn’t had yet. Sent the list of about 30 beers via email and the will call order was assembled and confirmed via email with 95% of my wish list available (gotta love it when an online list actually matches what they REALLY carry). No pressure and if I didn’t make it down there, they would have just put it back on the shelf. Order was ready when I got there and I paid and left - after shopping by eyeball too.... I couldn’t resist :). Great service, well-labelled beers/pricing, well-organized, and great service. I will return the next time I’m in DC and can make it out to Chevy Chase.

CC is a great place to find one of beers, and has a decent selection of seasonals. It’s located in a strip mall of sorts, parking is at a premium. Decent staff, although it can get hectic around the holidays.

Alot of holes in the selection, but what do you expect a week before Xmas. Many bottle available cold and warm. It was funny to see a 40 of Miller High Life right next tho Three Philosophers in the colder case. A few rares too. Prices a bit higher than in MD but worth it for all the beer in one place.
