| JoeinUccle (138), Brussels, Belgium | | May 14, 2008 Ah, I remember my intern days, when the place was packed with bike messengers, cute girls, and everything was $2. No more. Now it’s just a relatively cheap place to drink in Adam’s Morgan. Beers are not geek-worthy. | murawski (7), does not count - explanation | | December 13, 2005 Please do not insult RateBeer.com and REAL beerdrinkers in DC by including this establishment on this listing. CommonShare has a nice ambiance only for those who think toilets overflowing with vomit is quaint. I used to go here back when everything was $2, and that was the only charm it ever had. Nowadays, why bother? | | jde123 (58), Washington, Washington DC | | October 1, 2005 I definately reccommend this bar, mostly for the low cost of its quality beer. Many places around the Dupont Circle and Georgetown regions of D.C. charge exhorbitant prices for beer, such as up to $7 for a draft of Budweiser. At the Common Share, pitchers of any beer on tap can be purchased for $7. Not too bad. Downstairs bar gets crowded, but slowly and imperceptably, not detracting from the overall experience. Seems to be a very nice, laid back atmosphere, a little rundown in the upstairs section, but all things considered serves the purpose very well. Upstairs has a pool table and interesting art work from local artists on the walls. Can get quite loud at times, however. |
