May 20, 2009 Food is great, beer is warm but tasty. The girl bartender is strange, but the guy is really nice and helpful. The regulars are friendly, easy-going... not an uptight yuppie bar though it looks and feels like one. They have music on Friday’s and weekends for dinner are always over crowded. I haven’t gotten up the guts to try the beer ice cream yet... |

September 23, 2008 This seemed more like a chain then anything else. The beer was warm and not worth the price of admission. The fire burger or whatever it was called was good but over the top. It must have had 30 jalapenos on it. I nearly died and had to stop eating it. |

August 1, 2008 [ Updated August 2, 2008 ] Visited March 2006. Located in a nice. downtown shopping area. Stopped in for a quick beer and small bite to eat. Food was average brew pub food. Beer was good. |

July 17, 2008 So this place was kind of out of the way, definitely worth seeking out, has some good beer and decent food. Another kind of place that definitely caters to the locals. The waitress working the section next to mine was absolutely gorgeous. Not alot of people around, and lots of outdoor construction going on when I was there. |

February 24, 2008 Located in the heart of the antiques district. Just get on 20 west, take the spur to Anacortes, and follow the main road until it nearly runs out. You even get to pass under the wrought iron arch for historic downtown Anacortes, and everything. The place is nice, bright and clean, food portions are massive, especially the fish and chips. The help was almost too helpful. And they have beer ice cream. (Maybe I’ll try it this summer?) |

September 16, 2007 [ Updated September 17, 2007 ] Very friendly, sunny and bright, fast-moving neighborhood place that attracts lots of tourists (ferry waiting line for the popular San Juan Islands is nearby). Definitely built as a bar at some point--has a huge, classic, all-wood bar and bar back with pillars and brass accents. Nice open dining room. Good service, very decent pub grub (big menu!) and nice-enough beers. Not really worth seeking out on its own merits but a very worthy stop if you’re in the area. The bartender noticed that I was taking notes on the beers and asked whether I "ever went to rateThatbeer.com." He seemed happy to have the business and said the site brings in a lot of people. Cool! |

September 15, 2007 A worthwhile trip for both the ’experimental’ brews as well as the lagers that are so hard to find from Washington brewpubs. |

August 4, 2007 Interesting little town. Fantastic brewpub. Great fish; great beer. Great service. The atmosphere is a bit bland, but everything else makes up for it. Worth a long drive. |

July 16, 2006 I usually hit the Rockfish Grill when I visit my parents on the north end of Whidbey Island. You don’t have a lot of choices for breweries in the area, so if you’re in Anacortes for some strange reason, definitely stop by. The beers aren’t fantastic but I always find something interesting on tap (e.g. a belgian brewed with brettanomyces, imperial amber, etc.). The staff is young and pleasnt. They have live bands (usually blues) on the weekends. |
