84 Great selection with a constant rotation of beers. Slightly limited food menu but good nonetheless. Slightly overpriced in my opinion but the selection is tough to beat. |
34 Depressingly artificial upper middle class suburban ambiance. Broad selection of ok beers but staff have no idea what most of it is, and anything good has a hidden extra "markup," and no prices listed on the menu. Food was fine, clean and all, but a soul-killing place for beer fans. Then again, it’s Bellevue, so perhaps they’re doing everything right, given their local market. So if you’re a budding beer dilettante who just loves the culture of a place like Bellevue, WA, I guess you should probably go here. |
76 Large selection, but nothing too crazy. Good prices and food. |
80 I agree with the others about the environment, but I really like what they have to offer. Good beer, knowledgable wait staff, and tasty food. |
96 Great selection |
80 I was ready not to like this place, but it won me over. The ambiance is a little weird--more martini bar than beer bar, neon and glitz--but a really fantastic range of draft beer and a friendly, knowledgable bartender. Not too crazy on a saturday night which I liked. Many reviews refer to skunky tap lines but I didn’t find that at all. The place certainly smells a bit of sour beer, but the beers themselves were clean and tasty. |
80 I really wanted to dislike this place. Fancy place, Bellevue, probably uppity staff, lackluster food. None of that was true. 160 taps! OMG. And very competent taps and a bartender that could describe the many that I had an interest in. Settled into a wonderful Port Brewing Hop 15 and some great appetizers. Will be back when in the Seattle area. |
64 Fantastic selection of taps - a few of them were out of stock, including two I really wanted to try. Service was alright - staff don’t really know their beer. I’d come back. |
74 Lots of pretentious dickheads here. This place reminds me of an upscale Taco Mac. Their selection is fairly extensive. The inside is quite nice. I have no idea as to how the food actually tastes; I’m sure the food it decent. I enjoyed my time here, and the service was great. As is the case with Brouwers, the crowd ruins it for me. |
78 Super selection of taps, but be sure to ask for the off-menu list of rotating specials. Probably another 25 or so, which may include eastern beers from Southern Tier, Dogfish, and Founders, as well as some of our better locals (Walking Man, Boundary Bay). Definitely a yuppified environment, but I prefer this Bellevue location to their stark venue in downtown Seattle. Working in the Midwest a lot makes you appreciate the menu items at Taphouse - kinda hard to get cedar planked salmon at an Ohio beer bar. Join the club and get 10% off during the first 10 days of the month. I like this place because my wife, who doesn’t drink beer (but is otherwise perfect in every way), can have a very nice dinner with wine or scotch while I indulge myself with great beers on tap. |
