BlackDonald | This places looks like an old garage, like it was once an old gas and sip or something to that nature. Very much focused on the local crowd here which is quite diverse. The service could use some improvement, only two servers on the floor, one guy and one girl and she seemed to be covering his ass because he seemed like all he wanted to do was take his break and hit the bong again. Kind of an open air place with a patio and a small bar. This place touched on my biggest pet peeve, not because of anything the bar did. The table in front of me was drinking wine!?! Bottle after bottle of fucking Ravenswood Zin. Nothing irritates me more than to see people come into a brewpub and order wine, when there are ample wine bar and bistros in the area. This brewery is kind of all over the place style wise. Not a super smart beer staff either, but it will do I suppose.

bitbucket | Great little place in the historic (older) part of B-ham. Stopped here after a morning hike. Maybe we got in ahead of the lunch rush, but the service seemed fine, not outstanding, but definitely on top of the situation. The beef stew definitely hit the spot. The beer is great, and they have bottles to go.

Feinschmecker | I have been here twice and I really like the brewery. They have a great selection of seasonal and the food is great bargain. I had a strong scotch ale and it was very good.

after4ever | Very friendly and welcoming but still quite locals-focused neighborhood business that happens to have a big (deserved) reputation for beer--a reputation that carries far beyond the neighborhood, of course. Clean and bright and airy. Definitely participates in the community, sponsoring and hosting events that aren’t even necessarily beer-related. Adventure sports theme to both those events and to the decoration of the place. Decent food, flaky but cute and cheerful service, pretty great beer. Horrible 80s pop-rock on the pa when I was there.

| japewang | Agree with comments about the service, but then again, where can you get great service in Bellingham? The whole town is either stoned, hugging trees, or both.
The beer really makes this place. Its a huge old building with lots of space to cram people in. Usually overcrowded and terrible acoustics make it difficult to take a group there. Poor service (mostly slow and disiterested) and unkowledgable staff. But the brews are exceptional as is the selection. Great beers can be had here. Food is decent, but tries a bit to hard to be trendy and chic.
If its just you and a buddy going to have a good time and slug some beers, definitely go. But if you’re trying to have a nice night out with a special someone or a group of more than 4...there are better options in town

duffman462 | Other than the notoriously marginal service, this is a really great place to kick back and have a brew Nice, warm ambiance in the winter, and a great open-air set up for the summer. The beer garden is great, too. Most of the food is very good (try the Lamburger), if not a bit pricey. And, of course, the beer is always good. They usually keep several rotating seasonal taps, so there’s usually something new to try when I stop in. Highly recommended!

| turnerm5 | One of my favorite Bellingham beer spots. A great place to come after a long bike ride up Chuckanut, as they let you store bikes right inside the door. The service is a bit slow, especially if you are not seated in the bar area, but one doesn’t come to a place like this to eat and run. The beer is great, with around 10 on tap. The selection of food is limited, but everything on the menu is fantastic. A great place to take a beer lover visiting Bellingham.

| beerchurch | Some seriously great beer. The pub/restaurant can be packed on Friday and Saturday nights, but that’s because it’s all good. I’ve been here several times while visiting or passing through Bellingham. I have beer geek buddies who go here regularly--and they wouldn’t do that if the place wasn’t truly worthy. I’m sorry if someone had a bad experience at the Boundary Bay. This place is great! The beer is great! The food is great! I’ve never had anything but good service, even when the place is packed. Some time back they lost their brewmaster, Skip Madsen (a seriously great local brewer), but his replacement has picked up the slack and the beer is as good as ever.

BückDich | Large commercial building, all brick with a taproom, a dining room and a patio. Tents and what looks like air canopies cover the ceiling of this place. They had on all of their regular beers and 4 of their seasonals that day and didn’t skip a beat when I ordered a mangled sampler tray. The food was excellent; there were many things on the menu that I hadn’t seen many places and I’d like to try again. One thing that perked my interest was their beergarden burger, which is made of spent grains. Very novel idea to that problem. Anyways, the staff was nice and it was a good visit. My only complaint is that the noise since it’s all hard surfaces inside, everyone’s voice just gets bounced around.
