November 29, 2008 Last stop for the day we hit for dinner Skye Book and Brew. Yeppers a book store with a brewery inside. We found it and only about an hour from our home base which for the weekend was in Richland Washington. On the small main street this place was pretty unassuming and looked like a regular book store. There where about 15 tables in the middle for people to eat and books all over the sides and in the back for you to read or even buy. I found the old Dayton High school year books near our table. May 10, 2005 Dayton looks the way that a 50’s town would look if you introduced meth and yuppies simultaneously. It’s charming, but you can tell it has a seedy underbelly. Downtown café with a small (4 bbl?) brewery and restaurant. Beers were eh. Didn’t try the food. The book thing was unique. It’s like walking into a used bookstore and just kicking back with a book and cracking a beer. Much more personality than a large bookstore chain so that coffee and book thing is out the window with a place like this. Why would you come here? Why not!
