50 No longer a Brewpub. And rightly so since the staff really don’t know much about beer. Food is OK but pricey for the Pub Grub style. |
22 Stopped in without checking the RB place ratings, and now I know that was a bad idea. Unfortunate surprise that they did not brew own beer. Staff didn’t even know what they had on tap or how much their 10-beer sampler was, then they were out of one of the ten. Thankfully, I was charged the lowest price quoted. Good tunes (classic rock) and interesting decor (Pink Floyd, Pigs on the Wing?) but if I wanted to go to a bar instead of a brewpub, I’d have stayed on the east coast. Should change their name to reflect. |
60 As of May 2005, the Pig no longer is brewing its own beer. According to the Everett Herald, it will have a few of its beer contract-brewed by Skagit.
While I have enjoyed the Pig, I’m not sure if I can put a finger on why. Service is hit & miss. Food has always been pretty good, but you might wait a looooongg time to get it for no apparent reason. Their 2 stouts were great, but seldom available. The IPA was good, not great. The rest of the beers I didn’t really care for. Still, our family has eaten there for several years, and we’ve kept coming back. |
36 Not particularly good beer. None of the staff had any idea about any of the beer. Food was passable |
60 Nice place, in downtown Everett. I enjoyed the fish n chips and pale Bavarian-style Hefeweizen greatly. I sampled several of there brews but we seemed to prefer pitchers of the pale Hefe best. More personal preference than anything else, I will return next time I’m in town. |
