Great local place with outstanding beers on tap. Food is decent, but pales in comparison to the beer.

Nice little place to hit up if you’re visiting Navy family/friends. Naval Aviator themed place, friendly staff and pretty good beers. Can’t comment on the food, but there were enough people eating there that it had to be at least decent. I’m sure I’ll return if I’m ever in the area again.

Nice place with a welcome atmosphere. Beers were great, food was solid. Bartenders were very friendly. Lots of navy people about. Family atmosphere in the dining area. A few solid guest taps in addition to their own. I’m pretty sure that if I lived in Oak Harbor, I’d be here a lot. Spoke with the owner for a bit and it sounds like they will be expanding the brewery soon to meet their production demands, including 22oz bottles.

Nice new construction. Evidently this place had been in business for decades and recently either remodeled or built new, while adding a brewery that’s quickly gaining notoriety. The place feels clean and casual and well put-together; you can tell they had some budget because the hardware and fixtures were clearly not cheap, but the place doesn’t feel pushy or snotty or self-absorbed. Lots of kindly old locals chowing down at the bar. They have plenty of guest beers, a nice big menu, and a cadre of cheerful, efficient local kids working the floor. Don’t bother asking them technical beer questions, but they’re nice and they make sure that you get everything you need.

great atmosphere, great service and smiles galore, that was my first impression of flyers brewery and restaurant. I had two pints of barnstormer and one spitfire, both crafted from what i can tell to be a very talented brewmaster, one you would expect to sit down right next to you and enjoy a pint for himself. also two thumbs up for the pulled bbq pork which was delicious, and lets not forget the sweet potato fries....ah the fries.

Loads of servers, coat checkers, door openers, and someone to do just about anything you could want. Place was pretty full when we stopped in, and the locals didn’t take long to notice our non-localness. I wasn’t a fan of either of their own brews, but friendly service and a decent selection of others micros make up for it.

It was second day when I arrived, so they had tons of staff, including about three people just to open the door. Only two house beers right now, but the other taps are all local micros. Looks like they’ll try to be a bit of everything, typical of small town brewpubs. I’ll be going back when they’ve got their full beer lineup and get a better feel for the place.
