This place gets max points for ambiance, a cool old powerhouse building beautifully redone with hardwood floors and comfortable seating arrangements. The beer selection was impressive, a lot of seasonal taps and standards, it was really tough having to try them all but someone had to do it. The food though was average at best. A french dip sandwich was mediocre and reminiscent of something you’d find wrapped up in foil and served with a styrofoam cup of jus. Not bad, just not special. The real secret here are the seasonals on tap. Go there at least once to try them. I’d love to go back and give it another go, it seems like since the last time I visited they’ve updated their menu.

Awesome historical reclamation to get the structure converted to a brewhouse. I really dig that, as I’ve said probably a million times in place ratings by now. You can feel the trains rumbling by at times. Clean, well-lit, friendly, well-organized. The food is solid. They only have one faucet pouring anything other than their own beers, but it was Festina Peche, which was pretty cool. Granted, it’s October and the beer doesn’t really belong, but at least they’re pushing crisp weisses on the citizens of this rather bucolic valley and seeing what happens. If that’s not a sign of beer love, it’s at least mischievous. The beers show promise, if not greatness yet. I’ll be back.

Cool place, looks like an old firehouse or an electrical building judging by the name. All the tap handles have converters on them which is a nice touch. All brick facade with wood floors and a very clean stainless steel bar. 2 levels with a patio. Good service and very easy to find from the freeway.

Had a great time we just signed for our home decided to stop by. The beers where great. Over the top with the brews and there trying to make something great. The food and services was also very good. The server tried to talk beer did a good job and was trying with all her heart. The place was an old Electric company so it was to style and cool looking. Watch for the trains they will make noise and add to your experience. This was a great time and I will be back for sure the beers are just that good. I will take a medicine bottle next time home full of 32oz of sweet beer.

Nice find on a detour through Puyallup. Definitely liked the selection, and the atmosphere was killer with all the old electrical stuff on the walls, including the static arc that kept scaring the shit out of my wife. Pizza was great, sevice was decent, will try again soon.

Hard to find, I guess trimming the trees in front of the sign is too much work. Ordered an IPA, was handed a Wheat. Is IPA too long of a word for a waitress to remember? The IPA was good, my wife had the samplers, she thought the Ales & Lager were whippy. Tried the Overload Pizza based on the last review, great menu idea but the 12" pizza was way too small. They don’t tell you on the menu that they are only the size of a dinner plate. On a positive note, whoever decorated this place did a first class job with the electric insulators.

I am biased since this is my local hangout. Whenever a train passes by on the tracks next to the building a Jacob’s ladder is triggered. The building is a former railroad power station, and the decor reflects that. I have always had great service. There is a core of six or seven staple ales on tap, with an additional rotation of four or five seasonals, all brewed in-house. The 4-Alarm Oatmeal Stout, Amperage Amber, and Saison all highly recommended. Food is pub fare, with a somewhat small menu selection that is compensated for in quality. The Overload Pizza and Fish Tacos are highly recommended. The wife is fond of their Portobello Mushroom Sandwich.

Review based on over a dozen visits 2002-2004. One of my favorite brewpubs. Parking lot a little small, park on the other side of the train tracks if you have to. Very cool decreations with plants and electric items. Small bar only seats about 6 people, but worth going when they aren’t busy to get a seat at it. Family friendly seating. The upstairs area seems only to be open at busy times. Food is very good, anything on the menu I would trust. Pay attention to the chalk board on your right when you first enter for food specials. Some often unique beers, including Wit and Coffee Porters. Good details on the beers presented on chalkboard behind bar. Great place, worth a visit. negative: Not a great place to just hang out. Pretty much active eating and drinking is the environment.

Very cool place, comfortable and inviting. Nice brick and neat electric-themed paraphernalia. I especially liked the arcing "Frankenstein" thingie. Much more tasteful than a fern bar. Good service, Excellent food with a capital E. The customers are just as friendly as the waitstaff. A dozen brews on tap (one was rootbeer), brewed onsite or at sister brewpub Enginre House #9. All the beers were good, if slightly sweet and underhopped. I could live there.
