76 (Visited 09/2012 on the Seattle Road Dogs Tour): Emerald City is located on Airport Way right off the I-5 in the Beacon Hill / Georgetown area. There is a small lot right in front of the building. The interior opens to a small tasting room with a bar on the right. Beyond that are pallets full of cans and the brewery. Emerald City has 6 of their beers in the taproom, including their flagship Dottie, Betty Black Lager, Ivana Pale Lager, Gold Lager and Whiskey Lager. All of the beers are passable. Service in the taproom is good. The bartenders were friendly and we got a brief tour. Overall this is a good brewery to visit on the south side of Seattle. |
86 Right in the heart of the Old Rainier brewery in the Georgetown area. They got a small 1 barrel brew house and tap room set up. Great taps and terrific service. They are becoming the lager kings of the west coast. |
