The Jolly Roger Tap room is a fun place. Was very busy when I arrived. They open at 3:00pm so that is a small issue if you are looking at stopping for lunch. They have do have a good pub faire for food. Parking right out front can be dicey and tough to find. Drive the block looking for a good spot so your car does not get dinged. The service was surly at times but then I think the want-a-be player was trying to be a big shot for the local flavor. They where out of several of there main beers not sure why they could not say why. Will go back to get my beers that I missed this would be a great place for a party and with some good friends. The locals do and act like it is there pub only. NO Kids allowed. Loved the look inside this was place had some great character be sure to see the map on the floor you can not miss it.

Stopped in on a Seattle brew trip. Pretty cool place. The Onion Rings and little burgers Great. It was sweet they busted out a keg that was on oak and all of this other crazy stuff. Placed the keg on the counter top and started to pour out pints. Really cool and by the way the brew was great.

First stop on the Suttree Seattle Tour 07. Kind of a little hole-in-the-wall joint, rather crowded on a Monday afternoon. Lots of the MP beers on tap and cask. I had the Jolly Roger and Imperial Pale, plus a sampler (don’t look at me like that, I was on Vacation). All very good, and the servic was atentive. Oh, and the Mini Ahi and Mini burgers were great, but you gotta try the smoked onion rings.

A small spot on the NW corner of the Ballard Bridge offering their own ales, often twisted. I’ve had the same beer on: CO2, Dry-hopped, Cask, and Nitro at one sitting. Their kitchen is INSANE, smoking their own food out back (how do they get it lit-). The deep fried pickles need to wait 5 min or you get burnt. They put their beer in everything, esp. the extreme sauces for the little burger/Mahi/Osyster sandwiches. They change their fresh sheet for beyond Grubbin’s that are worth ALL the effort of getting there. I choose not to wait for a table (who would leave?). The place gets unfortunately LOUD. There is an outside seating area.
Go there, and taste for yourself (Argh!).

No frills or anything extra, just beer. But I guess you stick with what you know. They have great beer. I tried the aged Winter beer. It was great.

Based on two visits. Great ales. Great atmosphere. Very good fries. It’s a must visit - grittier than Hales -

How could you not like this place, it looks like pirates of the carribean exploded in here! great little sliders with weird dips (beware the spicy one), and a wide variety of folks go here. Just need to impove on being able to tell what beers are on tap.

Didn’t have food, but they have to traditional-style english beer engines. They cask condition ales, although not the typical real ale types found in the UK. I had a cask conditioned IPA there which was wonderful.

I think this place has the best pub food in the county. All of the li’l burgers, planks, and smokers are outstanding. They also have a spendier dinner menu and their Jolly Roger Xmas ale is on tap about ten months out of the year. My only complaint is about the hours, it’s usually closed when I want to go. I hear that very soon they will be open on Sundays...

Easy to find driving through Fremont. Smallish taproom/restaurant. Pick your own sampler of brews at $7.75, a little steep I thought. The five I chose were hardly standouts, but a patron clued me in to the Christmas ale which was quite good. Seemed like everything they produce was available there on tap and in 12oz. Mixed 6s no problem. Guy working the bar looked pretty busy and it was hard to get his attention - but there were only a couple people in the place. Odd.
