| ideardorff | Last visit was March 2006. Great location, nice layout. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Food was typical brewpub food, but done well. Good selection of beer, standard varieties. Always remember drinking three pitchers between a friend and I and going to a Mariners game!

roder_60 | Very nice brewpub right at the end of pike market (main tourist area). Atmosphere was very nice, had beer samplers, and food was excellent at a decent price. IMO much better than elysian fields. Def worth a stop.

after4ever | You can’t beat the location. It’s right downtown. If you’re visiting, you probably hit the market, and here you are. If you’re entertaining visitors, they probably want to hit the market, and here you are. It strives to fit the Pike Place Market feel: they set it up like a rabbit warren, lots of connecting rooms and zig zagging hallways. Ceilings open up two stories overhead, and even a little more in spots. Intricate tilework floors, lots of woodwork, lots of breweriana. They really want you to feel some history. But then there’s the beer, striving to be slightly above average (aside from the XXXXX, which is quite good). The service, which is striving to be adequate, and that’s only when it remembers to strive. The crowd is downtown droids by day, fratty by weekend (they can’t help that very much, and these are crowds that order well, to be sure). The food’s ok. The second you walk in you want to just love it, and it’s certainly worth a visit. But you can focus your attention and wallet elsewhere to greater reward.

ajm | Feels local. Also feels commercial. So maybe it wants me to think it’s local. But they brew a nice selection of styles and as far as I tasted, their Belgians and XXXXX Stout are competent, so they’re fine in my book.

ElGaucho | I didn’t drink here, but walked through during a visit to Pike Place. Nice cozy decor with lots of beer related memorabilia to look at. This would be a fun place to drink beer. It had been some time since I’d had a Pike beer, and the only one I’ve rated is the Pike XXX Stout, which is their highest rated beer. I see their stable is fairly pedestrian, perhaps in the above average category. With more time in Seattle, I would have loved to visit if you’re looking for a downtown brewpub it seems like a fun place to go. If you’re looking for a great selection of beer, go over to Taphouse Grill.

lassem | Went there for a selection of there own brews. Decent beer - not that interesting. Go for the datrk ones. The place was rather cool though with brass boilers in the mittle and alot of old fun stuff at the walls. Meet up for beers before going out.

presario | Decent food. Big place. Has a chain restaurant feel to it. Staff were very friendly at the bar. Hard to believe from the main floor all that is brewing in the basement.

| uncahal | A good place to meet up.I head here when I come to down...to kill pints of Kiltlifter and lounge around on the comfy leather furniture.Weird crowd of locals and tourists.Never tried the grub.Little pricey..best to check their happy hours.

Angeloregon | General analysis: The brewery is somewhat of a tourist attraction, but without the cheesy tourist trap feel. With some time-tested European guest taps to compliment its own NW-styled ales,
Service: Like many fast paced city environments, the service can depend on your personal experience and the time of day/week that you chose to enjoy a Pike beer. As a Portlander who makes a point to stop at Pike’s when in the Emerald City, I have found it to be, as a whole, average, if not better.
Other notes: Pike’s pulls no punches with its beers. There’s no overpowering hoppiness, or crushingly heavy mixtures of ingredient. Just simply good and handcrafted in a manner that most anybody who enjoys beer can find something to their liking.

Brigadier | This is located near one end of the Pike Public Market. It was an afternoon stop for lunch yet suprisingly not that busy though it was a Thursday.
You can order a nice range on tap though one more option might have been nice. The ability to pick up bottles does compensate somewhat. Prices are actually pretty competitive given you are picking it up at the source (Old Bawdy was only $9.99 a bomber for example).
I definitely recommend this as a stop. If you do try one of the specialty pizzas. The beers might not be the best available but you won’t regret the visit.
