September 25, 2007 Visited on vacation. Felt like a cookie cutter bar. They had a good selection of their own beers on tap, none of which were particularly good. Meh. |

September 2, 2007 Located near the center of downtown in an uninspiring shopping center. Typical Rock Bottom. Standard, but decent food. Average Their standard line up beers were average, but they had a few above average seasonals. They also had a cask version of their red ale. Nice patio seating. Service was good. |

July 30, 2007 Popped in for some sampling at 10pm on a Wednesday night ... not too busy. Sat at the bar and got a sampler. Wait staff was polite enough but not what I’d call attentive. Beers were fine, but nothing really spectacular. You’re better off with a few other establishments if on a time crunch. I probably wouldn’t have gone here (still not been to the Pittsburgh location), except it was only a 15 minute walk from my hotel and I didn’t feel more adventurous at that point. Highlight of the visit ... sat next to a guy at the bar who was in Seattle for the first time, up from L.A. on a conference. Turns out he was originally from Williamsport PA and his brother-in-law was the lawyer who did our house closing. Freaky. |

October 25, 2006 They were out of the IPA when I stopped in. The beers are OK, but far from outstanding. The lunchtime crowd was thin, so the service was great. The one and only time that I’ve gotten a BBQ’d pork sandwich with coleslaw as an ingredient in the sandwich. What’s up with that? Pretty good after I scraped the mayo-laden cabbage off. |

February 7, 2006 Big place that was packed to the rafters when I was in. Some loud (not too loud) clubby type of music. I only grabbed the IPA, which was excellent. The food looked good, but I didn’t have any. I might enjoy this place in the afternoon, but at night it isn’t my scene. |

February 1, 2006 Very Good food. Small for a typical Rock Bottom. Service is usually good even during happy hour. Very friendly staff. Good brews. Reasonable prices and centrally located and easy to get to |

April 20, 2005 I visted Rock Bottom Seattle late at night, after 11pm, and there was a considerable crowd present. Not too heavy on the cigarette smoke, but still unpleasent. This location had a few interesting beers to offer, a bourbon barrel aged version of the house stout, and a very well made IPA. As always, the regular house brews were mediocre. This location is easy to get to from any hotel in downtown, and is located up a few sets of outdoor steps on fifth avenue, tucked away from the road, so the outdoor seating in front will not put your right out into traffic. Worth visiting, much more comfortable than the horrid Pike Pub a few blocks away. I’m glad I visited. |

March 30, 2005 Everybeer i had at this place tasted similiar and watery, the food was ok nothing to write home about. The servers need to realize that the better service you give the better the tips are. |
