| Hawksfan17 (41), Conshohocken, Pennsylvania | | September 23, 2008 The food wasn’t bad here and they don’t skimp on the samples and the beer is reasonably priced. The downsides are they only had 5 beers and it wasn’t superb. I went when it was already converted to Old Schoolhouse Brewery but were still serving the last of the Winthrop brew. | | glkaiser (38), Seattle, Washington | | June 4, 2007 Loved this place. Definitely a dive....in an old converted school house. Bartender was great, loved that we wanted to do a sampler with all 13 on tap. They had their ’02 Barleywine flowing, which was spectacular. A few locals; a few tourists. Sat at the bar next to a local who had just gotten shot with pellet spray and was drinking the pain off.
Worth stopping in for sure. Loved the IPA. | | Crit (114), New Westminster, British Columbia | | March 29, 2005 [ Updated September 18, 2008 ] Wouldn’t likely re visit. Poor service, not all that clean, Average beers.
But I was there many years ago, in the mid 90’s. May be worth another visit. |
