February 8, 2006 [ Updated June 28, 2006 ] Place is kind of wierd. Restaurant has an escaped from the Berlin wall feel to it, which the owners have. But there is also a large banquet hall attached to this, where they have had poker tournaments. Decor is European trinkets, smokey, and somewhat cramped. Beers are Gosser, Kostritzer Schwarzbier, Warsteiner, Bitburger, and Pilsner Urquel, to name some. The food is authentic. The sausages, schnitzel, pierogies, and latkes are good. Dinner served with homemade rye bread, red cabbage or sauerkraut, and potatoes, and the liver dumpling soup is wonderful. Alot like Resi’s without the beer variety.
The Timberland Ridge part means they also sell ribs/American food. While I have never had them several friends say they have excellent ribs.
Located along Hwy 94 off of Rt 50, just down the road from Woodmans. |
