CMUBEERMAN | Nice place with a walkin cooler. Prices can be great and selection isn’t bad. Actually isn’t too shabby compared to steve’s, woodmans, and rileys. I’ve had some pretty good luck with getting rare dark horse and vintage bottles. Service is friendly and the beer manager knows what he is talking about. As far as food goes, it is a great local market.

General_Gao | Tucked away in a small residential neighborhood. Definitely off the beaten path for out-of-town visitors like me. Small-ish walk-in cooler. As mentioned by hopdog, no singles are offered. This is still the case. The selection is decent, but nothing compared to Steve’s, Woodman’s, Riley’s, etc, so this shouldn’t be high on your list of places to hit if you are visiting from out of town. I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t visit this place even if I lived on the other side of town. That said, it’s a great place for anyone living in the neighborhood.

hopdog | Big walk in cooler. Did they have a nice selection; yes. My only issue (especially being from out of town) is most of them available in 4-6 packs only. Shame, as if they were singles, I would have bought quite a few. Ended up walking out empty handed. I woul d have rated this a lot higher if singles were available.

NeonLX | Jenifer Street Market recently expanded their beer cooler into one of those walk-in beer vaults, a lot like Steve’s Liquor in Madison. I browsed the selection and was amazed to find several breweries I’d never heard of. Great selection of WI, MN and IL micros, also some "rare" locals like Lake Louie, Dark Horse, Slab City & Ale Asylum. Very nice selection of limited releases, as well as imports. The selection has been GREATLY expanded and it’s worth any beer afficianado’s time to spend some time in the new cooler. The organic meat counter has apparently been expanded as well; so has the well-equipped & rather large wine rack. This is a wonderful resource for the Madison region and I urge others in the area to check it out. (note: I do not work for or know anyone who works for this retailer; I simply was amazed at how serious the place has gotten about stocking great beers).
