Mostly average although a very diverse selection of beers from around the world. There’s nothing here that stands out (because I missed the Belgian Red on tap) but plenty of above average beers. Foodwise, if you llike pizzas and calzones it is a decent place to eat. Again, nothing here stands out as stellar but it is at least average for a chain. Worth a stop if you want food between heading from Steve’s and Wooman’s to the downtown stores and want a decent beer. Otherwise you’ll find better food elsewhere.

Mostly average food, big but not great beer selection. Hard for a serious beer geek to find anything interesting here, but there’s always something worth drinking.

This place is usually loud and crowded with an inattentive / uninformed staff. Looks like it could be any chain in the US..which it is. Food is standard TGI Fridays fare with OK pizza. Taps are dirty and rarer beers old. Really not worth the trouble unless you want to sit out on the deck.

Decent place in Madison to find a good mix of locals and non-locals. I’ve had some German beers there on tap... nothing special but many above average brews. Good pizza too.

I go here all the time, mostly due to the fact that it is close to home. It works in that its a good place to go to have a reasonably priced meal with your friends, or to catch a game (lots of TVs), and have a wide selection of beer while you’re there. Are you going to find anything here you’ve never seen before? I doubt it. Will you find beer that you enjoy drinking? Almost certainly. It also has the bonus, as TannerTavernboys said, of being close to the good beer stores of western Madison (Woodmans and Steve’s).

Definitely similar to every other Old Chicago on the site; over 100 beers, but most are swill. They do have some more locals compared to other OC’s: Capital, Sprecher, New Glarus. There are better beer bars in the area, but if you’re looking for a place with more than just regionals, I guess this would be a plus.

another popular location when i used to visit Madison to get my New Glarus fix. this location is pretty close to the Woodmans west side location. THey have a good tap selection-Bells, North Coast, Capital, Lakefront and good bottles too (Three floyds, sierra nevada, other bells). I miss this place!
