Great resting spot for journey to the north woods. Nice barrel doors. Ate at the bar. Decent menu and good pub appetizers. Beer selection was decent and service was good.

This is a nice friendly place. Standard pub food and a reasonable selection of beerturned me on to some wisconsin brews I didn’t know about. Nothing to go out of the way for, but if you’re in the area it’s worth a beer or two.

Great eats at a coll place. We used to go to Point quite frequently and I always insisted we stop here for the food. Actually it was because they had a huge Keg as their front door. Great selection of beers, Point specials, Central Waters, and some New Glarus.

I ended up at this place in October 2004 on my way to a wedding in Wausau, namely because one of the brewers for Central Waters (makers of the reknown Bourbon Barrel Stout) was working there as a bartender. I ordered three growlers of his beer ahead of time and picked them up at this brewpub. Hilltop had 4 Central Waters beers on tap, 2 New Glarus, and a handful of Point beer products. I didn’t eat, just sat up at the bar and talked to some interesting folks while sampling a few of their tap beers. (The conversation started when someone asked me, "Why are you smelling your beer?") Anyway its a convenient stop off Highway 51. Note that this place is in no way affilated with the Hilltop beers listed above. Not sure why they show up here.
