76 /100 Vulcan (JDW) (Bar) 181 MAIN STREET Visited on 3 October 2018 before a trip to the Summerlee heritage park. Smallish but friendly Wetherspooons, which was very busy mid-afternoon on a wet Wednesday. The six cask ales on offer must make this the best beer destination in North Lanarkshire, and I enjoyed two Broughton beers and an international brewers' special. Staff were efficient. A good pub. |
82 /100 Vulcan (JDW) (Bar) 181 MAIN STREET Excellent selection of real ales, always at least 1 new keg to try every week but always at least 4 on the go at any time |
44 /100 St. Andrews Bar (Bar) 37 SUNNYSIDE ROAD Very small traditional Scottish Bar close to Coatbridge Sunnyside Station. 2 real ale taps, only one in use. Full of old men with betting slips. Scottish "Last of the Summer Wine" |
68 /100 Vulcan (JDW) (Bar) 181 MAIN STREET Wetherspoons bar between town centrre & Albion Rovers FC. Quite small for a Wetherspoons. Well cared for ales. Standard food menu. Satisfactory service. TV showing live sports. |
