80 /100 2 RUE PIÉMONT Visited last sunday, located near a small river in a small visit near the belgian border. We sat inside, but there is a large outside patio. Service was friendly, too bad they didnt offer a menu in an other language since my french isnt perfect, but well the staff was friendly enough to help us get the translation.
Food was great, had the mixed grill plate and the meat was good.
Had a glass of their brune and through the day i have been able to buy some other bottles and i bought one other bottle in the shop. Prices are decent for the large bottles, if you take them home, although they are 1 or 2 euro more expensive than in the leclerc i was the same day.
Prices for the restaurant are very fair.
All in all a recommended place. |

74 /100 2 RUE PIÉMONT Visited the 4th July 2015. Nice place near a small river. Good atmosphere really peaceful. The service is really nice and you can have bottle from the brewery but it’s a little bit expensive, you can find it on a shop for a better price. I don’t understand why you can find crap tap beer... The food is good and typical of the region. Good place I recommend it! |
50 /100 2 RUE PIÉMONT Great village resto with a brewery. 3 nice brews, all bottle conditioned, so expect no taps here. Food is great! |
80 /100 2 RUE PIÉMONT Restaurant with a terrace along the stream, visited by tourists in the area. Older couples and groups, few people seem to come strictly for the beer. Three bottles available, Cuvée des Jonquilles, Medard Ambree and Medard Brune. The girls managing the floor are young and take no care in pouring bottles, so be mindful of their handling or you may throw away money on a milky and yeasty pour. We had to ask to serve ourselves. The beer was in good shape, the Cuvée especially bright. The small town and terrace along the stream is idyllic, my only complaint is the gaudy blue Nestle Ice Cream umbrellas outside, because they prevent a decent photograph. Don’t let that stop you from visiting if you’re doing beer in the Dour-Bavay border region. |
92 /100 2 RUE PIÉMONT i didn’t eat while there, so couldn’t comment on the food. but the beer... perfect. beautiful locations, along side a brook and among such verdant lush greenery. |
72 /100 2 RUE PIÉMONT little brewery located at the belgium border. Nice restaurant with local specialities, "La Jonquille" is available in big bottles, as long as "Cuvee St Medard", there is a patio along the river, which is nice during summer |
