“Very slow to react to new beers. More experimental beers would be appreciated. Largest selection of all the ilt booze shops but still nothing like the range you get in other towns. The staff have no interest in craft beer. Also more expensive than other online alternatives such as regional wines in wellington. “

“Best range of bottled beers in invercargill. Epic, 8 wired, funk estate, liberty, Invercargill brewery, yeastie boys to name a few. Two revolving taps that would increase if there is demand. Currently tuatara apa and epic imp. They are trying to make craft beer their point of difference. Nice bar with great service.“

“Let me start by saying that unlike the rest of the country, Invercargill does not permit the sale of liquor or beer in grocery stores. They have something called the Invercargill Licensing Trust (ILT) that restricts liquor sales to specified liquor stores and keeps ALL of the tax revenue from sales in Invercargill. With that money they have enriched the community enormously (this year’s revenues from the ILT are over $10 million). This store is probably the largest in the city and carries the most diverse selection of craft beers: Invercargill Brewery, Emerson’s, Green Man, Mac’s, Epic, Harrington’s, Brew Moon, Monteith’s, Moa are all here. There is a smattering of imports too, mostly belgian and british. Staff are polite and friendly, but none are beer experts.“
