“Stopped by on a Friday around 2ish and this place was packed. Grabbed a quick flight. Nothing to get me to come back andstand styles. One and done for me.“

“Clean modern interior, kid-friendly (my toddler was my drinking buddy at my visit, as he often is). Beers were generally all fine but not remarkable, good for the neighborhood but not worth going out of your way for. Renton is a bit of a dead spot in the Seattle beer scene though. I prefer Four Generals but Dubtown is perfectly fine as well.“

“Maybe the best spot in the eastern suburbs (I call Renton an eastern suburb, you could convince me otherwise) now that Malt & Vine has closed. About 24 taps, pretty well curated selection of PNW beers, and 5-6 coolers broken out by style. Nothing super rare but if this were my nearest bottle shop / beer bar, I'd be here every week or two and do pretty well.“

“Nice little brewpub with looks like 20beers on tap including a barrel aged imperial stout. 3 cans to go at $6 each. Scenic convenient downtown Renton location near Seattle.“

“About 17 beers on tap, including 3 ciders. Small interior, but lots of seating. Nice brick walls, and decor of books and lots of board games. Bomber for sale to go. 8oz pour of Kolsch was $5.50: not cheap. Nice downtown location.“

“A little larger than typical Japanese grocery store. Huge selection of both cold and warm sake. Beer Selection is meager and biased toward macro lagers. I like it over all.“

“In the middle of Renton's tiny little downtown. These guys just do German styles. Fine job, wasn't blown away by anything. A coffee altbier was interesting even if it's not something I was blown away by, festbier was quite tasty. Disappointed they didn't have the smoked helles when I visited. There are better German-style-focused breweries out there but there are also a lot worse. These guys are a solid stop.“

“Great spot. One of those bar and bottle shop combos. Minimal food options. Bring food with you. Really nice draft list that is kept up to date online and on a digital draft board. Growlers of all drafts available. Fridge with about 75 bottles and 75 cans to stay in or to go. Prices are super reasonable. Service was great on my visit. Dog friendly, kid friendly. Really liked this spot.“

“These guys are already knocking it out of the park in one of the busier corners of downtown Renton (hustle and bustle are in short supply around here sometimes). They’ve opened up a nice little place that will do very well as a bar (and as a brewery) whether they ever sell many kegs elsewhere or not. It’s clear they will quickly build a loyal local following.

They have a little chair rail on the sidewalk so people can sit outside, and they roll up the doors to let the air in. Inside there are a few tables, and then a few stools at the bar. There are flat screens, probably tuned to the game, and behind this there’s a tidy little brand-new brewhouse. There’s a single unisex bathroom farther in the back.

They’re making a wide variety of ales and sours at this point already, though just a few beers overall--they’re just widely separated in style categories, hence the variety. The people are super nice and the vibe is great. Beers are interesting enough, and prices are fair. Renton is already glad to have these guys.“

“Yes, awesome. Nano brewery in the back of a house. Past garage space. Junk yard atmosphere in the sitting area. Owner/brewer is very friendly and fun. All beer served in plastic cups due to city regulations. All the beer was well done but not mind blowing. If you are tired of the same old brewery, please come out here on a Saturday (only open 1 day of the week).“

“I finally got around to enter this on the site. It is a great place with 21 all German taps along with about 15 other Euro bottles. The food was very nice bratwursts and such. They do offer sampler flights along with 1liter pours.“

“Nice location and inviting interior. Small patio out front. Beer selection was not large but included many local selections. Ordered the hummus which was not up to our standards. Waitress more than made up for it with complimentary soup. The rest of our experience was pleasant enough.“

“This is a quaint little house in a rural neighborhood location. Small patio outside was well populated. Small bar, wood floors, large beer & wine bottle selection, and delicious food makes this a great place to visit. Service was good too.“

“Hard to peg this one for beer nerds. As a bottle shop, it wouldn’t crack the top 5 in the area, though it has 600 well-chosen bottles. They just don’t get too much .rar stuff. They chill half their beers, but not all of them. They have 7 taps, but they’re popular choices, not unusual selections. What they are first and foremost is a tapas bar with a few traditional apps and entrees also on the menu. It’s an awesome casual vibe; it very clearly and literally is an old red house with old rooms cut into dining rooms and work areas. The porch looks like an awesome place to sit in summer and eat and drink. The staff is super friendly and cool. If you go, make sure to check out the bottle coolers before you sit, because there’s no printed bottle list. You can take bottles to go.“

“I had a real nice conversation with Wayne today. Super nice guy. Obviously passionate about his store and really connecting with the customers. The beer selection was great, not insane, but a lot of great beers and no filler. All IPA’s are refrigerated and turnover looked excellent. I’m sure I’ll be coming here many more times.... Already back again. This is a great store to have just a few miles away since it would take me a good 25 minutes or more to get to another store as nice as this one.“

“This place is pretty cool. They didn’t have a wonderful selection, but it was decent enough to wet the palate. They had a cask of something, and about 10 other beers on draught, including their own beer (brewed at a different location). The service was pretty good. The female bartender looked like some girl I know back in Georgia, which is nice because that girl was fairly hot, even though she had a few extra pounds on her. Anyways, sorry about that digression. They seemed to have had a few locals stop by. As said, the selection is ok, and I can see from time-to-time their tap list being spectacular, but on your average day it doesn’t measure up to say Dog and Pony. For four beers it cost us $19, which isn’t bad. It wasn’t ass-packed, so I was pleased with that. It’s literally one hundred yards from Red House, so if you’re in the area, both are worth a visit. Don’t expect growler fills here, they serve liquor.“

All Things Wine (Beer Store)

“This place is very much geared towards catering to the wine crowd. There are a couple of coolers, and when I say "a couple", I literally mean this. The beers that they have are well thought out. They seem to have only what is fairly good to excellent, in terms of selection. The purveyors are extremely nice. I’ve met the husband and wife team once, and they were both very affable people. Now, I will say that they have the opportunity to really beef-up their beer selection and be the best beer store in Renton because, hell, they really don’t exist. Anyways, I also love the prices -- a 750 ml. Temptation for $15.99?! They get some great seasonal stuff e.g., Hair of the Dog Doggie Claws, so I know they’re paying attention to the beer crowd. Free tastings on Saturday for both beer and wine, I believe. Updating my rating a bit. I met the husband and wife team for a second time, and I can’t say how nice these people are. They’re willing to answer any and all questions. They’ll be the best beer store in the area soon enough.“

“Damn this place was surprisingly nice. It was a restaurant and after seeing all the wine I was a bit disappointed. I asked the waiter "where the beer was?" and he said "take your glasses and follow me." Not much on draught here, but the bottle selection is surprisingly nice for a restaurant. We don’t have stuff like this back in Georgia. Had a really nice bottle selection, and I was happy to pick up the first batch (pretty sure) of Consecration in a bottle. Fair prices for this place. The prices were a lot better than expected.“

“This was the highlight of the day. Stopped at 5 brew places today and this was the last and turned out to be the best. The service was top notch. The food was exquisite and the beers around the place where great. They had about 400 bottles ready to serve. Not sure about the corkage fee thingy but that’s there rules. Loved the place this is a must stop for the night out with a special date. The kids will not like this place. Lots of parking and a great selection of beers. Bring list of beers needed for this place.“

“Located in downtown Renton. Great selection of local and imported beer. The food is decent. The ambiance is weird. The ceiling is too high and therefore gives a not so cozy feel to the place.“

“When I’m not in the mood for cooking at home, The Red House is the best choice for a relaxing lunch or dinner with beer/wine pairings. The bottled beer selection is huge and rivals even specialty beverage shops, yet every bottle can be chilled (or not) and served at the table for a small, reasonable fee. The menu is small and wonderfully eclectic (similar to Brouwer’s), but everything I’ve tried is special and fantastic (not similar to Brouwer’s). The cost is very reasonable and the food/beer combinations are endless. A must visit!“
