72 /100 DR. JUAN JAVIER NEUMEYER 34 The Blest place in central Bariloche. Both outdoor and indoor seating. Nice looking place. I just came for a half pint. Which was a bit cheaper because of happy hour. I just sat at the bar. Service was Ok, not overly enthusiastic. Place was busy. I had the Cream Stout. Which I have to say was not very good. I wish I had more time in Bariloche to try some more stuff, but judging from some other reviews I read, beers some to be only mediocre anyway. Overall Ok stop over for a half pint when exploring beer street in Bariloche. 16 taps I think, varied style selection |
84 /100 NEUMEYER 20 Rather big place on beer street in Bariloche. This place looks like it has been extended a couple times. They have quite a few different rooms and also a nice outside Patio. The place wsa busy when I got there (7:30pm). Even seating at the bar was limited. Compared to previous reviews they now have 16 taps. They had 3 different stouts (Milk Stout, Stout and Imperial Stout), some Hoppy stuff (also a NEIPA) and quite a few traditional styles. They do half pours (250ml) and also even do a tasting tray (4x100ml). Which unfortunatly I saw too late or I would have taken it. I had the Milk Stout which was lovely. I was debating wheater I should stay or have another beer somewhere else. I choose the later ... it probably was a mistake. Lovely place. Did not eat, but food looked lovely too. |
60 /100 Chimi Bar de Choris (Bar) ADA MARIA ELFLEIN 73 One of the many places in beer street Bariloche. Mix of local and national Argentinian craft beer on tap. They do burgers, Veggie option was sandwich. It was Ok, but a bit messy, nothing too exciting. Had a Cream Ale by Bordona, which was nice. They had happy hour, the girl told me Pints are actually cheaper then half pours. Ok for a visit, but there are probably nicer places in Bariloche. |
46 /100 ELFLEIN 90 Their only advantage is they start their happy hour at 17.00 not at 18.00 like all others. Their English IPA is palatable, forget about the rest. |
52 /100 AVENIDA BUSTILLO KM 11.600 You have to go quite a long way by bus out of Bariloche to get to this big restaurant cum souvenir shop complex..Their IPA Is decent , Spalter not a patch on the Manush, others weak. Most tables reserved , seems like caters for big groups. Not a place to return to. |
74 /100 NEUMEYER 20 By far the best pub in Bariloche. Excellent Spalter - in my opinion the best beer I drank in South America , good IPA, decent Pale Ale and its variants Traful and Strong Pale Ale. Service is quite good but beers are often served with too much head and too little beer. More care with pouring would be welcome. Anyway highly recommended . |
90 /100 V. O’CONNOR 1348 Great Beer! Friendly atmosphere! |
58 /100 ELFLEIN 90 There are two Bachmann bars in town, this is the one closer to the center. Bright well lit right on the corner near all the other bars. Really not much to reccomend about this place. 4 or 5 plain german style beers which didn’t taste very good. Poorly cooked food. Decent service. Maybe the other location is better? |
78 /100 NEUMEYER 20 The epicenter of the downtown bar scene. Highly recomended by and popular with the locals. Always packed. They serve by far the best beer of the downtown brewpubs. Thier IPA is probably the best beer in town. Two or three seasonal offerings in addition to the standard lineup. All very safe, traditional styles but well made. Service at the bar is good, table service is bad. Burger is good. Must visit. |
86 /100 V. O’CONNOR 1348 Charming placed with character and some of the best beer in South America |
64 /100 73 JURAMENTO Good place in the brewpub area of Bariloche. Small, friendly vibe that played extreme snowboard and rafting videos on tv and good music. Pizza was really good. Carries three Konna lines of homebrew. |
78 /100 South Bar (Bar) JURAMENTO, 8400 A great place to have a drink in Bariloche. Great atmosphere - literally a hole in the wall, but a lively one. They have several prosit and El Bolsons on tap and lots more Bolson in bottle. A great place to start in Bariloche. |
42 /100 Pilgrim Restaurante and Irish Pub (Bariloche) (Restaurant) PALACIOS 167 Typical Irish pub, nothing special. Better places to go for a drink in the area. |
50 /100 The Map Room (Restaurant) URQUIZA 248 Was a little disappointed with this place. It has some charms, but the beer list was pretty limited and I was expecting more from the maps. |
72 /100 AVENIDA BUSTILLO KM 11.600 A very cool place, the interior deck out with lots of beer memorabilia - my favourite was the Beer Periodic Table. And the beers were pretty good too, especially as I could see them being brewed right next to my table. Lots of german food, though a little pricy. A must visit for anyone in the area. |
48 /100 AV. EXEQUIEL BUSTILLO 11750, A stylish place, though a bit pricy. Was a bit disappointed with not many of their beers actually being available on tap. |
76 /100 The Map Room (Restaurant) URQUIZA 248 Really enjoyed this little bar, which serves 7 local brews on tap (5 Antares and 2 Cruz) and 9 imports. The dueno, an expat from Chicago (coincidence?) likes his beer, and only wants the best in his bar. A nice mix of European (French, German) foods and Brit pub fare. Very british in style. Do drop by this place. |
62 /100 Familia Weiss Restaurante Montañes (Restaurant) PALACIOS 101 A wonderful restaurant showcasing the Patagonian specialties, such as deer, wild boar, beef (of course) and nice picada plate of smoked meats. A very efficient service, very formal. Beautiful deserts. Excellent prices. But the beer...just plain bad. Do try the deer casserole with spatzl. |
46 /100 AV. SAN MARTÍN 435 Typical looking Irish pub which serves 2 home beers, the roja and the negra, in addition to the Guiness, Kilkenny and other Irish fare. A decent menu of pizza, wild game, and pasta. Probably fun on Friday’s. But dont go there for the homebrews, just plain horrible. |
78 /100 AVENIDA BUSTILLO KM 11.600 I enjoyed this place, with its good service, rapid. They had 5 beers on tap, and a cider. Limited but interesting menu, of Irish and German influence. Tried an excellent venison Dublin cuddle a la Patagonia, with deer. Nice decor of wooden tables, sculptures, with a good view on the fermentors in the back. Big breweriana collection, so bring those coasters! |
62 /100 AVENIDA BUSTILLO KM 11.600 Nice place, definatley worth the visit if you’re in the area. Good service (like most places in Argentina), good selection of decent beers, loads of old brewing memorabilia on the walls. Good food too. |
72 /100 Familia Weiss Restaurante Montañes (Restaurant) PALACIOS 101 Went there this past January ’05 on my last day in Bariloche for lunch. They only had one of their beers the Rubia. The name is a little misleading to an english speaking Americano as I’m used to a Weiss being a german styled wheat beer which this isn’t. But, is was a very nicely done blonde (= Rubia) lager. Not sure where it was brewed. They also had a selection of other domestic and imported beer. I had roast lamb with a morel mushroom sauce that was sublime. Huge portions. Very good bread basket. It was quite busy and the waiter took reasonable care of me. I had a nice table with a good view. I heartily recommend this place! Salud! |
