“Wine store with a limited selektion of beer, some skagen, Nibe and Frederikshavn. Mostly half empty shelfs and 40% discount on wine and spirits strongly indicates that the shop are closing down. Fine service tho.“

“Markets itself as Cafe Knuth's bryghus (brewery!). But when I entered, I was amazed to find 6-8 taps of the usual carlsberg stuff you can buy everywhere else. I asked for their own brew, but they only had them as bottles. Odd, but never mind. I asked where they brewed their beer, and got a rather snappy response, that they brewed them in a tub upstairs. Alarmbells were now going off, and I started in checking out the bottles I bought more carefully. I could find no information of where the beer was brewed, only a registration number of a company, turning out to be Næstved bryghus - a brewery VERY far away. To me this borders fraud. That being said, the food we had was good, and the beers were also fine. So if you don't mind the lies, go for it.“

“Fairly big Skjold Burne store, easy to find. They have a good selection of wines, spirits, delikatessen and bric-a-brac, but also some beers. I had already got the Skagen Bryghus beers I needed from Holtes Vinlager nearby, but still found a few Danish beers from other breweries at Skjold Burne. Friendly staff.“

“Mainly a wine and liqour store, but with a good selection of Danish beers + some bottles from Belgium and Germany. Prices are ok. Centrally located by the harbour.“

“Very nice place to visit, especially in the summer, when they do outdoor concerts and the beer is flowing. Friendly atmosphere, fresh beers and an ok menu. Will definitely return nest time I’m in idyllic and charming Skagen.“

“First of all I am very proud that Skagen has this place. They make fine beers and it has really put Skagen on Northern Jutlands craftbeer map. But the type of beers is very much aimed at the local tastes, so there’s more pilsner styles and less of the "nerdy" stuff I enjoy. I really do love the Gl. Skagen IPA, even though people say I’m blinded by local patriotism. The bar is more of a cafe for middle aged and elderly people who want to eat cafe food and drink, to them, exotic beers between being bussed around to the local museums and points of interest. It is always very full, no room at the bar if you want to just down a couple of brews without eating the burgers or listen to the AC/DC coverband all the way from Hvidovre. The price is also quite high, considering the fact you’re in Denmark and the beers are made in the same room as you. Then again, during Summer, there are tons of Norwegians here, and to them it isn’t all the expensive (well, now that 100 DKK costs 130 NOK that might change). Most important, this is locally made craft beer, Skagen is the most wonderful place in the World, and if you get a seat in the courtyard during summer and get a few ice cold Gl. Skagen inside you, then this is THE place to be in Skagen town.“

“Did not expect much, still a little disappointed... spacious place, outside seating during summer. The beeris mediocre at best and no matter what they poured from the 5 or 6 taps of own produce, even the hefeweizen came out headless. According to their motto, the beer is brewed with care and served with love. Neither seemed to be true on my visit.“

“The biggest most popular restaurant on the main tourist street in Skagen. Nice modern design with big windows, if you like that sort of thing. To me it just felt expensive. Average service. They have two beers made in their name by Raastad brewery (the dark one is not bad!), beyond that it’s dishwater-beer at champagne prices. Did i mention that it’s wildly overpriced?! Only worth visiting if everywhere else is closed (which happens).“

“This is really your only option for craft beer in Skagen. A "classic" brewpub with big copper tanks in the dining room and beers named after local celebrities. Very nice building really with old brickwork and a big crane in the middle of the room leftover from whatever it used to be. Also has a large beer garden outside with regular live music. Competent service. They had 8 of their beers on tap, which is a little sad given that they have a 24 tap system. Again "classic" beer styles, it was not clear which, if any, were special or seasonal brews. You can get a sampler flight. We just had nachos but other peoples’ food looked pretty good. OUTRAGEOUS prices for Denmark, but it’s a tourist town and many of said tourists are Norwegian. A must visit in Skagen, because you have no choice, maybe worth a trip from Frederikshavn. We had a nice time.“

“Cozy pub on the main tourist street in Skagen. A nice place to hang out. Our server was clueless, didn’t know what hops were etc. but friendly enough. At the time of our visit there was only one craft beer on tap (Founder’s All Day IPA) plus two beers they have made in their name at Ebeltoft, a good brewery in central Jutland. There were many taps dry though, and we were told that they were getting lots of new beers all the time. They put cute little knit sleeves over the tap tags for the empty ones - it’s the little things! Food was very good, and it’s the only place we could find that had a non-pizza vegetarian dish. Better prices than other places in Skagen, but still higher than normal Danish prices. Not the worst.“

“Fairly central in Skagen, near the chuch and the pedestrian area and about ten minutes walk from the train station. Visited early on a Monday afternoon in February and the place was pretty deserted. We were the only costumers and go friendly service and fairly decent food (at least large portions and very crispy bacon!). Had limited time so only managed to try two of the beers, the Easter APA (Skawpåske) was pretty fresh and quite okay, but it seemed like the IPA (Gl. Skagen) was not so fresh, but still fairly drinkable. Nice place in a way, but probably not the most interesting beers, but still worth a visit if one happens to be in the area.“

“Beerwise this is not worth the visit, I found little worth mentioning. But the service is good, the desserts and coffee are very good and great value. Their outside patio is well situated giviing you a good view of the streets.“

“Located near the church in the center of town. Large restaurant indoors and a large patio. They have their own beers on tap and you can also buy purchase bottles to take with you. I found a new one and was happy about that. The service is not the most friendly.“

“The weather was sunny at my visit, so we sat outside for at late lunch. The food was mediocre - the rye bread was the supermarket kind instead of coming from the bakery, and the same was the case for other ingredients. The beers are your typical Skagen beers. There were no new beers for my, so I took the Bundgarn, which was good, but the others went for the Hefe and were not satisfied. Meh.“

“Green’s holds a special place in my mind, as a pub in my second home of Skagen, that I have frequented a lot in my life. Mostly when it was Skawpuben. It is in a great spot, has lots of room outside, and it looks very good. The food is also very nice. However, the beer selection rarely changes, and the beer should be treated with a bit more respect. When I protested about the Guinness being poured in one go I was told "we don’t have time to pour beer like that". Well, then you shouldn’t have Guinness on tap in my opinion. Aside from that, the people are friendly, if a bit stressed, and there’s good music and a good party wibe.“

“I read before i went that this is a tourist trap, and i must say i agree. Boring place, boring beers, boring staff. Even in the high season when there wasnt many people there we had to wait for service. Inside AND outside. I tried a total 8 of their beers, with only Væltepetter and Gl. Skagen as checks in as ok beers, Nordlys was fair, but when it comes to Bundgarn, Drachmann, Skawskum, Tuxen and Lars Kruse, i’ll rather take a Carlsberg.“

“NIce brewpub with large outdoor seetings. Live musik in the summerperiode. 7 beers on tap and 6-8 bottle availeble. I found one (not good) beer I hadnt tried before. Food deasent (had the burger). Slow but friendly service. Not a place to travel for, but deasent.“

“Not a great place, but since the local brewpub, Skagen Bryghus has closing time as early as afternoon and this is about the only place to get a decent beer in the evening off season I thought it’s worth mentioning. About 12 taps, two changing from Skagen Bryghus, two from Jacobsen, Guinness, Franziskaner Hefe-Weissbier Dunkel and the rest is mainstream lagers. A few bottles as well but that’s just crap beer. The restaurant serves great food, the service is OK, decent pricing and some of the staff has some knowledge about the beers, but that’s really no big matter with this selection. The best and only choice if you happened to be in Skagen during the winter months.“

“Visited July 2012 during Skagen Festival: The place was packed, so no disses about service. Surroundings are great, big patio and ok space inside. We had the festival beer and it was quite drinkable.“

“Lovely outdoor place in Skagen. Well suited for a beer in the sun. The selection of cause is limited to what I could see was Skagens own brews. The fool looked very tasty but we did not try it. The service was ok I guess. They did not seem to enthusiastic about the product they were selling. A must see if you are in Skagen, but don’t expect too much.“

“I think I like the place better than the beers. There’s a nice patio on the outside, where you can sit and enjoy the special Skagen daylight if the wheather allows it, else you can sit inside in a cosy industrial-style large room with the brewery equipment on display. There wasn’t much knowledge amongst the waitresses, but they were quick and friendly. The food the other guests ate looked good, but it wasn’t the right time for me to eat so I have no idea of what it’s like. The beers aren’t fantastic in any way, but honest and flawless.“

“Visited the place on a nice warm summer day. Nice to sit in the yard surrounded by quite a good deal of people, eat a good lunch and have some refreshing beers. OK only the standard repertoire present. No special beers that day. Managed to find a couple more in one of the supermarkets i Skagen. Staff was friendly but seemed a bit pressed by the many people present. Nice surroundings but actually the food and beers were not extraordinary.“

“A fine looking brewpub - but the beers was a major disappointment of the beers presently on their homepage they were missing three when I visited - they only had their standard rotation, nothing special - I was told to go the the local supermarkets to pick up the special goodies that I was searching for - after hitting three of the supermarkets I only managed to pick up 1 of the three beers that I was missing. And the service at the bar was slow and with no knowledge of beer.A major disappointment. Get your act together - keep an updated homepage, and a good stock of speciality beers to be sold on premices!“

“Very nice rebuild old electricityfactory. The bar is shaped like a ship (what else in Skagen). The smoke/non smoke seperation is ridiculous. You are sitting right beside each other, and non-smokers will probably be troubled bigtime by smoke. With that said it absolutely a to do brewpub, when in Skagen. Service is good but not too knowing about beers. All in all a nice place.“
