82 /100 Maison Kammerzell (Restaurant) 16, PLACE DE LA CATHEDRALE Enjoyed a great meal here with a Saison (Framboise). The restaurant was founded in 1427 and very much looks and feels like it. Very good service with an amazing setting and a good beer selection. |
76 /100 Le Café des Sports (Bar) 16, RUE SAINTE HÉLÈNE Not much reference to sports despite the name (table football, and a wall-mounted bike are about all I saw sporty)... fortunately. Nice little bar with pleasant outside area. Around 8 taps serving mostly French craft, usually at least a couple of sours with more sours available in bottles. Knowledgeable owner who provided me with more recommendations for French sours |
90 /100 22, RUE DES VEAUX brewpub in the heart of this beautiful city, not too far from the cathedral, but in a lesser frequented part. Not so crowded with tourists, the outside area is very pleasant and in the shade. Very friendly staff, quite a large menu with local specialities (good choice of tartes flambées), salads and burgers. 5 beers available on tap during my visit, also available in 0,75l bottles to take home. Food was delicious, we had three tartes flambées and they were all superb, as were the salads. One seasonal summer beer on tap, the blanche de l'été which was very good and extremely refreshing on this hot day. Highly recommended if you want to eat and drink well in the centre of Strasbourg. |
66 /100 Nicolas Wine (Beer Store) 18 RUE DES ORFÈVRES similarly to the other units of the chain, they have quite a few local beers for reasonable prices |
88 /100 Delirium Café Strasbourg (Bar) 5, QUAI DE PARIS 33 beers on taps actually at the time of my visit - still a lot! and they have also plenty of bottles; good place for reasonable prices |
76 /100 5, RUE DE LA LANTERNE Great brewpub with their own beers both on taps and in bottles; worth visiting |
84 /100 17, RUE ADOLPHE-SEYBOTH A brasserie in an old building with great ambiance and 20 beers on taps - mainly local and Belgian ones |
66 /100 EXILS (Bar) 28 RUE DE L’AIL Central bar popular bar with the youngsters of Strasbourg. Small selection of locally brewed beers in bottle otherwise mainly Belgium ales |
68 /100 L’Artichaut (Bar) 56 GRAND RUE Spacious bar with outside seating, mainly Belgium beers but they had a couple of local beers for me to try |
78 /100 17A ROUTE DE VIENNE Yepp, spent the best time in Strassbourg at this brewpub. Funny interieur (bicyle theme), small patio.14 beers on tap, mostly own and interesting local guest beers. Also bottles available, growler fills and some snacks. And smart staff. |
76 /100 Village De La Bière (Beer Store) 22, RUE DES FRÈRES Nice store in the heart of Strassbourg. NIce selection of local and european beers. Smart staff, nice conversation and nice advises. A little bit more expensive, but therefor in a good location. |
54 /100 22, RUE DES VEAUX Brewpub with seats outside, nice ambiance and about 4 beers on Tap. Service was acceptable and the food as good. |
76 /100 Le Garde Fou (Bar) 8 RUE DU FAUBOURG NATIONAL Not that far from bar "Le Grincheux" and the railway station :) Nice bar ! Friendly owner ! He knows his stuff. I was lucky enough to taste one the last beers from Craft Tom (a local brewpub). I enjoyed the clean craft beer-menue on the wall a few meters before the bar. Smart ! Maybe 12 french beers on tap (local/regional beers). Ok price. They also sell wines. No bottle when I came 4 days ago (what a pity...). |
80 /100 Le Grincheux (Bar) 27 RUE DU VIEUX MARCHÉ AUX VINS Not that far from the railway station. The bar is just near the tram. So, the outdoor area suffered from this (some nausea smell). Inside, great bar. I didn't see first floor because musicians were training for a concert. Anyway, great atmosphere. 30 beers on tap. Great selection. Good french selection and they didn't forget local and regional beers (La Débauche, Hoppy Road, Matten, Ste Cru) ; interesting international craft beers. I tasted Dieu du Ciel Péché Mortel Bourbon. Good selection also of whiskys/rums. They also organized an event for french bio wines. Ok service. |
58 /100 Delirium Café Strasbourg (Bar) 5, QUAI DE PARIS Highly disappointing. I visited other Delirium Café (Caen, Amsterdam) with a great foolish craft beer spirit. This one is huge, very very classic (belgian) and very "vulgar". I could understand this if we were 20 years ago but now ?? Hard to notice any french ale (excuse me I remember a beer from Vosges!). Huge bar indeed with 40 beers on tap and... another area to taste whisky/rums... TV-screen to watch soccer games ; I guess there are concerts. Ok for students if you don't care for great craft foolish beers and local stuff. Strasbourg deserves way better !?? (10 = 13-3). Friendly ok service. |
70 /100 Le Local (Bar) 3, RUE DE L’ABREUVOIR The first I've been there was about 3 years ago just before Christmas ; late evening with Jaghana. Nice small bar. Many students. We couldn't sit because the bar was crowded with people !! I remember I've tasted a Veyrat whisky and a Bendorf witbier.
3 days ago (late august), 5.30pm, there were only me with the bartender first ! Friendly nice service. 7 regional and local (La Mercière, Bendorf, Perle, 3 Mats) beers on tap a cider. Not foolish craft style beers. Quite classic. I didn't see a bottle-beer list. Jazzy music.

44 /100 Marché bar Uberach (Bar) 62 RUE DE ZURICH I was attracted by Uberach brand. Even if I was told Uberach's beers were really classic, I wanted to taste a beer in this bar. Very classic atmosphere. "Too clean". Friendly barman. Ok price. But I was really disappointed : only 4 beers on tap, no bottle ; ouch. Uberach amber and witbier ; Meteor Pils and another macro. BIG OUCH ! From a craft beer spirit, very forgettable ! |
58 /100 5, RUE DE LA LANTERNE Bad service initially although it wasn’t crowded. Served wrong beer too, but corrected this. Only 3 of their own beers kn tap, tasted them. May be I am spoiled but spotted not too much difference in the beers. Mediocre at best. |
74 /100 Delirium Café Strasbourg (Bar) 5, QUAI DE PARIS Visired end of afternoon Tuesday. Not crowded, lots of Belgium drafts and bottles. Had two nes beers, which were OK. Does ‘t appear to know much of beers, still good place. |
