“If there is one place you have to visit in Swansea THIS is it Lovely place by the harbor Fine patio at the front. The pub is at the upper floor Even a lift so it is possible for everyone to get up Nice beer selection. Both on tap and can/bottles Excellent pizza. Highly recommended! “

“Cool place overlooking the water near the sea. Fairly big outdoor seating area, and another section upstairs. They have a good selection of their own stuff, then a few other Welsh breweries and some other UK stuff when I visited. Friendly service. They pour thirds here.“

“Handily close to the railway station this is an East European Shop with a reasonable selection of beers from said area. They are a little jumbled about in there with the beers distributed across 3 areas on my visit. Found a few that I lugged back to the camp site.“

“This is multi roomed, traditional pub towards the marina. On a god-awful day in Swansea beer hunting this gave a chink of light. Friendly and comfortable there are local beers on sale in good condition. The food is home cooked and very pleasant. Well worth making a detour for.“

“Large, architecturally splendid, ornate pub occupying a corner spot on the appropriately named Wind Street. Televisions placed on every wall, happily showing the 5th day of the 2nd Test against New Zealand but otherwise would be overbearing. Some beer interest with a couple of Welsh beers on. Worth a peek.“

“Large pub, opposite the Cross Keys Inn. This chain seems to have dropped its interest in beer now and become a Wetherspoons copy. Lots of screens showing afternoon tv. Little of interest on the beer front.“

“This is a large, chain type pub just off the main drag in Swansea. Similar to a Wetherspoons in style. Very limited on its beer range, TT Landlord and 6X on my visit. The garden was pleasant.“

“Wetherspoons just off the main shopping area in Swansea, huge and sprawling through what feels like an old department store. The usual Wetherspoons set up, little of interest on the beer front unfortunately.“

“Bar reasonably close to the Railway Station, made it our last stop before the train dash. It has the post industrial feel of a modern craft bar but with a copper coloured tint. It's rather chaotic in here, the pub dog getting the run of the place and escaping every time a door is left open. All keg beers, the link with Boss long gone, beers from various Welsh Breweries on our visit plus the usual national brands.“

“This is a brewery and tap room right on Swansea Marina by the mouth of the River Tawe. It looks a little bleak from the outside with its navy blue colour but inside it is most welcoming. The tap is on the upper floor, up some steel steps however there is a lift for the less able via the brewery entrance. The beer board is confusing as they do not list the brewer so you could end up with a beer from elsewhere without knowing it, best to go by the keg fonts, which may take more time. A good selection of their own beers are available, all keg. Seating overlooking the harbour, there is bench seating by the brewery but it looked a little bleak down there. It is the must visit place in Swansea.“

“As others have intimated, this appears to be a small pub from the front but it really does go back a long way, it's actually very roomy in there. Opens nice and early on a Saturday, the bar is in the second seating area on the left. Rather like a Wetherspoons it is a mission to get to the toilets upstairs, there is a small seating area to the front, a basement for music events and a garden I think. There is an interesting beer range, particularly on cask. Well worth visiting.“

“Large Wetherspoons on the way to the Marina area from the railway station. Busy on a Saturday morning pre opening time for everyone else. All the usual Wetherspoons plusses and minuses. Very limited range of cask beers, nothing unusual at all. Not the most exciting venue but we know that before enrering.“

“Deceptively large pub on the main drinking street in Swansea. Four hand pulled ales available from local breweries (Mumbles, Gower) and some local real ciders too, plus Beavertown Neck Oil on keg. Delicious Sunday lunch.“

“Not really a bottle shop, but a continental supermarket with a pretty large selection of macro lagers from all around Eastern Europe (Baltika from Russia, Ciucas from Romania, loads of Polish stuff). Probably a few ticks available for those who haven't frequented that part of Europe.“

“Lovely bar right on the marina with easily the best craft selection in Swansea. 4/5 of their own on tap alongside national (Verdant, Thornbridge, Newbarns) and international (Lervig, Põhjala) brews. Cans and bottles available too but didn't look at these this time. Prices very reasonable (£5/pint for a Verdant 6% IPA)“

“Big multi-room Wetherspoon type pub. Apparently this place had some interesting beers once upon a time but it certainly doesn't now. There were some handpumps but none were in use and they were only Pedigree/Doom Bar style anyway. Keg beers all macro lagers, Guinness etc. Not worth the bother.“

“Cracking place for a pint. The Flamingo Lingo which they make there is my favourite. If you're after a cheap pint this is not the place for you but if you want a really good selection of very good beer, served by very nice people then look no further“

“A busy traditional pub between the marina & the city centre. A choice of 4 handpumps. The beer was good, the ambiance was decent, the downside was the smell of the place, like it needed a good clean.“

“A pity I only had the time for one beer in this modern brewpub above the marina in Swansea. They have 15 taps, a half dozen or so of there own beers. It was pretty quiet been a late Tuesday afternoon so the ambiance could be better.“

“International food type store not far from Swansea Station with a rather large selection of Eastern European and Russian beers in bottles & cans plus even afew ciders, worth looking in and exploring to pick up some country ticks. I got a Bulgarian lager and Latvian cider (not yet on ratebeer) on my visit.“

“Long narrow historic pub in central Swansea next door to the Bank Statement JDW on Wind Street. Some seating at front then main side bar with selection of taps & real ales and also good range of ciders, then table seating and through to another wine bar & table area towards the back. “A rather spacious and long room in different sections, including a library lookalike room to the left. This JDW is located close to a busy roundabout and has got an outdoor seating space in front of the pub. A couple of Welsh beers among the six rotating cask ales. Polite service. “A monumental, large corner place with one spacious room and high ceiling. Welsh beers among the four cask ales. Popular for sports and late night party time. Very JDW look-alike, but more limited beer menu. Central location facing the Wind Street. Had a Gower beer as a partner to a salad with bacon and chicken, and was satisfied with both the food and cask ale. Polite service. (Visited with Finn 01.10.2018).“

“Quite a few interesting Welsh beers both among the many kegs and the six cask ales. Central location just down a narrow alley from the busy Wind Street. A large modern pub divided into different sections and snugs. A long stylish bar with a huge selection of gin. Hogarths gave a comfortable, clean and rather cozy impression. No food. Polite service. “Mainly a spacious wine store but with a very good selections of canned and bottled beers, including a few shelves marked "local Welsh beers". They even got four different bottled beers for the Norwegian brewery Nøgne Ø. Friendly and attentive service. Good prices. Located in the Uplands area. This was the only wine and beer store we found in Swansea. (My place rating no.1000) (Visited with Finn 01.10.2018).“
