Beer Feast (Beer Store)
PR. OKTYABRYA, 11
“The first real craft store/taproom in Ufa. I was really surprised to see a nice selection of craft beers from all over the world, with emphasis on Belgium, England, some Dutch and of course Russian craft beers. This place fills PET bottles to go as well as serves draft beer inside. The place is small, mainly a bar, and a very nice selection of bottles in the fridges and on the shelves. Of course if you come from a good craft beer city/country you may not be surprised seeing the foreign beers, but the Russian craft will make up for it. Coming to Ufa I didn’t think I’ll find such a nice selection. From Russian craft you can find JAWS brewery, Saldens, Vasilievostrovskoe and a few more. Some traditional Belgian Sours, some siders and more. Also a nice Ufimskiy Kvass on tap by Ufimskie Naturalnie Napitki.“

“Can only concur with previous rating by Petronius, with the exeption that the sampler is not more available. Tasted 2 beers and they are pretty good, will add them to RateBeer so I can rate them.“

Prazhsky Pivovar (Restaurant)
VERHNETORGOVAYA PLOSCHAD, 1
“Located in the mall, czech-themed. No dress-code, but smoking-friendly. Extremely friendly and prompt service; lady named Natasha(?) Rostova - just like in "War and Peace" - went out of her way to supply me with their house brews’info(unfortunately servers here are not provided with a lot of beer data to begin with). Although, Prazhsky Pivovar was the only beer place in town that bothered/attempted to beer-educate their patrons. Now, the beer. There is light, dark, amber and cherry. THE BEST BEER IN TOWN, hands down.“

“Located inside a trandy night club, Brauhaus is woody and spacious. Like almost everywhere in Russia, it’s okay to smoke indoors, so they offer a variety of bongs, cigars plus karaoke. There is a dress-code and face-control. The flight of 5 house brews is 250 rubles($9), it’s not on the menu, so ask the bartender. The headbrewer is German, thanks to him the beer menu actually states beer styles: Hell, Pilsner, Weizen, Marzen, Dunkel(beer styles in Russia are usually defined by color); ABV and OG are available. The stuff is helpful, but clueless; the most they’ll tell you is, "It’s all german, the yeast, the malt and the hops". Out of their brews, I liked Weizen the best; I swear, It smelled like belgian yeast, no banana/clove smell to it whatsoever.“

Red Dog (Beer Store)

“Well, they’ll pour you whatever and will ring you up, but don’t expect a lot of help here. Wide selection of continental lagers and wheat beers; some belgians - lambics, trippels, witbiers, flamish sours. A couple of british pale ales; a brown and a porter - I personally saw percisely one kind of each. Stronbow on draft is a major puss, haha, I mean plus. A 12oz bottle of trippel is about 113 rubels($4); a 1.5 liter growler of draft Bass light is 330 rubles($11). They also sell cigaretts and snacks.“

“This place is quite unique for Ufa. Medieval Scotland themed, beautiful wood work. They brew their own beer named "Barinoff" off premises. Their scotch/wiskey selection is fairly large, some bottled british ales are also sold. Again, for Ufa their selection is beyond expectation, so I give them 11; however it’s merely sub-par for a pub, say, in Seattle. The staff is very friendly and fast.“
