76 /100 Awen Brew Pub (Restaurant) 1 RUE GILLES GAHINET Last Saturday late afternoon at Vannes ! Nice brewpub & restaurant ! 6 beers on tap from their brewpub Arwen, 3 beers from NAO and 5 beers from Coreff (regional brewery). Nice. They also propose beer/food pairing. I tasted their IPA with a Poke bowl. Not amazing but very interesting. Worth the visit :) |
74 /100 La Fontaine (Bar) PENERO, ILE, D’ARTZ Wonderful bar/grocery store/bistro on the small scenic island of d’Arz in the golf of Morbihan, 30 mins by regular boat from Vannes. Once off the boat, hire a bike (you can cycle around the whole island) or walk along the main rd and you will see the cafe sign pointing towards the village of Penero. They serve 3 or 4 Breton beers from the keg, and from what I saw of the food, it is well worth reserving a table a t busy times. Lovely layed back island ambiance. |
62 /100 Valseuses (Bar) 10-12 RUE PORTE PORTERNE Large but cosy bar in the town centre close to the market hall (Les Halles). This is mainly a Palm outlet, so don’t expect too much excitement, but well kept Palm standards on tap at a reasonable price. Regular good live music, nice terrrace. |
68 /100 O’Flaherty (Bar) 22 RUE HOCHE A cosy Irish style bar near the town hall in Vannes. On my visit there was Coreff and two beers from brewary An Alarc’h (Huelgoat) on hand pump and a few other locals on keg. |
