“Almost 20 taps and the largest space for all the Mobile breweires. Some of those taps were guest taps. Flights of any 4 available for $14 or so. Beer quality was pretty middling to weak, with some truly bad ideas on tap (carrot cake white stout). Service was disinterested but fast enough. This place has the most ticks, so it’s probably worth a visit, but don’t expect quality.“

“Small tasting room near the other local breweries. Just 7-8 beers on tap, with flights of 4 available for $13 or so. I liked their house IPA and kolsch, but the others weren’t great. Super friendly bartender. Not spot but ultimately skippable; then again, I didn’t like any of the breweries in Mobile.“

“Nice tasting room / dining hall. We came here to eat, seeing as they listed vegan options on their menu. But it turned out they didn’t have a bunch of the options. The food we did order took over an hour to come out, was weak quality, and service in general was friendly but also took forever. Beer quality was not great; even though they had a couple bigger beers, they weren’t really calibrated well. They only had 4 house beers, but you can get a flight of them for $12. Skippable, but then again, I didn’t like any of the breweries in Mobile.“

“This is one of my top 3 Alabama breweries, and we really enjoyed the visit, talking with the staff and enjoying the well-made beers. As a native Mobilean, I am glad to see a successful brewery make downtown Mobile their home.“

“Great beer store in Mobile. Opens early and you can drink pints of the stuff they sell for growlers in the store as you browse. Interesting tap list. They seem to have a lot more singles in the back than they used to, I found a lot of stuff to buy. Lots more available in six or four packs. Unfortunately almost no Alabama or MIssissippi stuff in the singles section, which as a visitor I was most interested in. Friendly service. Also cigars and plenty of booze here. Price average to high, depending on beer.“

“Visited on an ill-advised stop on the way to the airport--almost missed my plane. Had the wrong flight! Beer was good, mostly their own stuff with a few visited taps from the Southeast. Their beer is a little above average. Nice set up, would be fun if busy, though mostly empty when I was here. Big place.“

“Cool place in downtown Mobile with a large taplist. A fair amount of Alabama stuff here, with even a few Mississippi ticks. It's right in the old French-type quarter, so a small slice of New Orleans. Friendly service, flights available. Some of the prices on some beers are super high -- $18 for a pour! But others are more reasonable. I had a burger, which was alright.“

“We came here on 23.7.2022. Less than 1 mile from Oyster City Brewing. Located in an old renovated building. Brewery n a separate room to the left (visible through a window). The hazy pale ale we had was above average. They had some more special beers like an imperial wheat ale. Not a bad place.“

“We came here on 23.7.2022. Our first brewery in Alabama. Oyster City has 2 more brewpubs in Florida and are currently acquiring breweries in North Carolina. You can sit around the brewhouse located in a room with open garage doors, .Cool ! 20 beers on tap. The 2 IPA’s we had were decent. Super friendly service proactively serving tasters.“

“Nice shop at local plaza. Service was very good. Offered me nice choice of local crafts. Sadly I wished to see more single offerings. I wished did not have to buy 6 pack just to score new tick.“

“Meh. It’s fine I guess but nothing particularly interesting and kind of a dirty place with an awful ambiance. Didn’t try the food, bartender was nice and helpful. I guess this is as good as it gets in the Deep South...? Prices are a bit off the wall for pedestrian stuff.“

“They had a good amount of taps for us vacation people that wanted some local beer. Not enough for some one who would come here a lot. Good Pizza.“

“Found some good southern beers there. The women enjoyed talking the the workers while we took our time picking out beers. We had good help from staff and did a taste test on a beer. Take out some of that wine and devote more room for beer. Great place though.“

“It was a nice corner bar and grille with an outdoor seating area. They had a small selection of draft beer with only one local beer from Fairhope Brewery. The staff seemed fairly disinterested in the customers in the bar. It was late on a Wednesday evening (10:30) and the place wasn’t very busy, but one would have thought I would have been asked it I wanted a second beer as I finished my first. Albeit, I moved along to the next place.....“

“A broad selection of taps and bottle beer. The bartenders were very helpful and suggested several similar drafts when the first one I selected was tapped out. The appetizers were very good, the large Bavarian pretzel with Jalapeno cheese was great. Next time I am town I will definitely return.“

“Visited on New Years Eve. Located in downtown Mobile. Two floors with bars on each floor, although craft beer taps are only on the 1st floor I believe. Around 70 beers on tap. A really good selection of local Alabama and regional southeastern breweries. I would agree with the reviewer below, that prices were a little high, probably $8 for each beer I purchased and the pours were a little short. But I didn’t have any problems with quality, all beers I had were just fine. I would definitely check out again if I was in the area. Probably the best beer bar I’ve visited thus far in my limited time in Alabama.“

“Cool bar in downtown mobile. Seems small once you walk in, but there’s a large back room, a large outdoor area with a stage, and an upstairs area; wouldn’t had know about these if someone hadn’t shown me around. Only issue is ordering one of the beers on tap is only at the small bar up front which can easily get crowded. The staff itself was awesome and great. Great selection of beers with a nice selection of local brews and a complementay set of good beers from elsewhere in the country; including a solid lineup of Stone seasonals the day I was in. Overall a cool place to grab a beer while downtown.“

“Good location in downtown Mobile with a huge number of taps. And it pretty much goes downhill from there... Some good tap offerings, but there’s also a lot of filler beers. Hands down the prices were the most obsurd I’ve ever seen. A pint of Oskar Blues Gubna was $13 and the average price was $8; that’s stadium prices! To make things worse, after shelling out the money for a round, 2 of the 4 beers we ordered had diacetyl problems. With the other good bars literally steps away, I can’t understand why people would spend that much money to get beers here.“

“If your passing through on I-10 and need a good Alabama tick, then this is your place. They had the top rated beers from the state, so your in good shape. very friendly staff. unfortunately, their taps were not working the day i was there. about a 15 minute trip off the highway but worth it.“

“Visited February 20, 2014.

Last stop of the night. This is a fun little town to bar hop in and while this bar was pretty quiet (though it was pretty late) they have a great tap selection and the server was very friendly. They’ve got several dozen taps and some good stuff to pick from. They had several Westbrook taps so I had a glass of their Berliner. Outside on the sidewalk was a sandwich board advertising that they had just tapped Hopslam. Beyond that they had some Yellowhammer, Straight to Ale, Sweetwater, and Pensacola Bay stuff in addition to Stone and Avery.

The building itself is an old brick building with (at least according to the facebook page) an interesting history. If this is accurate it’s pretty neat:

Located directly across from the historic Saenger Theatre. Our Tavern was originally built in 1853. This was the house of Nicola Marschall (1829 – 1917), a German-American artist who supported the Confederate cause during the American Civil War. He designed the original Confederate flag, the Stars and Bars, as well as the official grey uniform of the Confederate army.“

“Visited February 20, 2014.

Pretty nice place on the corner in downtown Mobile. It was blatantly college night in town as there were tons of what looked like young 20’s all over the place. The bar wasn’t too busy but it was certainly noisy enough. It’s a narrow building that goes back pretty far. They have some neat decorations like a wall full of krugs (steins) and a bunch of beer tins/signs. They sell soft pretzels and some other food. The pretzel was pretty good but then all soft pretzels are.

The tap list is fairly ridiculous. 75 taps and tons of locals makes for a lot of samples to work through. One flight of four was enough but they’ve got Abita, Good People, Fairhope, Back Forty, Reds (the apple ale people, from GA apparently), Sweetwater, Straight to Ale, and a few others. They also have some bigger brands like Ballast Point, Stone, and Bells as well as a few imports like Chimay, Tucher (odd choice but OK), Warsteiner, and Weihenstephaner. The flights come in a wooden fish which seems to be provided by Sweetwater.

This is a fun place and has a good beer selection. Stop in and check it out.“

“Shotgun style bar with cooler for bottles and cans behind the pretty wooden bar. There are several taps right on the bar, but a ton that are elevated and against the wall behind the bar. Sixty-seven taps during my visit. Eighty bottles/cans. Friendly staff. A lot of the cooking is done behind the bar. A row of solid wood Oktoberfest style tables and chairs. Convenient spot right on Dauphin Street.“

“It has already been established that this place has the best selection in Mobile, though I can only agree inasmuch as I have visited about half a dozen other stores since the state ABV change. There are about a dozen taps, which helps one consider this as better than others too. Because the state Health Dept. got involved, the growlers are plastic milk jugs. The tap selection is fair, with several coastal AL-FL-LA-MS breweries represented alongside some Avery and others. The bottle/can selection is diverse, with a southern focus. The staff (John) was talkative and friendly, as well as proud of how clean he was keeping things.“

“Right across from USA, so it has a college feel. Everyone who works here looks like they were born for the job...counterculture...you’ll see what I mean. Great service, great food. The beer selection is really good, but I come here for the pizza.“

“Service is excellent, selection is the best in Mobile. Unless you want to drive to PCola, this is it. Selection score would be higher but you can’t get 22oz goodies in Alabama. That said, they’ve enhanced their growler selection over the months and some really good stuff rolls through. The even have a sampler for 9.99 where you get four 5oz selections from their taps, and you drink them in a nice cigar lounge they’ve added. They sell a good selection of singles, so you can experiement. They work hard to get the best available and I recommend them to everyone I know.“

“Best beer store in Mobile! I stopped in and was pleasantly surprised with a great selection of beers. They have all the regulars that most good beer stores have, and then quite a few "hard to find" selections as well. The growler selection is nice. I was shocked to see Avery The Reverend on tap. If you like good beer, stop in the next time you are in the Mobile area.“

“For Mobile, this is a pretty solid place. It has 12-15 taps and 15 bottles or so. A couple of interesting things like Sweetwater, Rogue, and Harpoon. Update: now that the 6% law has been repealed, MM is now stocking multiple offerings from Bell’s and Great Divide. It’s a really good choice for beer in Mobile. And the pizza is great too!“
