70 /100 Cafe Metro (Bar) 46 CHURCH ST Visited on 19th November 2016 as the first stop on Duffield’s Black Country crawl, a small single roomed cafe bar and micro pub, plenty of seating a nice decor and feel to the spot, staff handled the 60 plus crowd really well, a good range of beer from more established breweries, beer was in good condition and was fairly priced. It’s a decent spot in Bilston, food looked good value too. |
80 /100 Cafe Metro (Bar) 46 CHURCH ST Weird little place, a cafe most of the day, but with a (small) bar at the front which opens in the evening, almost like a micro-pub. Pretty welcoming, the beer range seems to be predominantly local based and generally sourced from smaller breweries. The listed opening hours are indicative only, as I was there around 9pm on a Monday, so I expect it may stay open longer if it is busy enough. |
66 /100 Sir Henry Newbolt (JDW) (Bar) 5-47 HIGH STREET Decent enough family orientated Spoons, reasonable selection and well enough kept ales. |
64 /100 Sir Henry Newbolt (JDW) (Bar) 5-47 HIGH STREET A high street Wetherspoon in a very suburban and local Greater Birmingham suburb. It’s fairly roomy inside and stretches back deep enough for its purpose. It’s not short of custom, or with its choice of ales which are on two rows of pumps. |
