“Quite a basic Wetherspoons on the main Shopping Street in Acocks Green. Felt a little run down on my visit. Rather a disappointing beer choice that I could see, I resorted to a can. I would much prefer going to the Inn on the Green just a short distance away.“

“Distinctive for two reasons, firstly it has a dividing wall between a best room and the bar area, although in reality both are furnished the same in traditional Wetherspoon decor. The second is that this unusually feels like a local pub rather than suits all pub this chain is known for. It is small and intimate and a touch intimidating. However ales are served on two rows of pumps either side of the partition. There’s a small patio out back but it backs onto a concrete car park.“
