“Very small brauhaus located in what seems to be a hotel. Old style interior, old wooden tables, locals hanging at the bar drinking from huge 1 litler glasses. Lovely food, friendly service (who didn’t speak English btw). Beers are decent with one or two suprises. Worth a visit.“

“11.07.2013. I used ratebeer to find this place on my way from Haugesund to Luxembourg! Hidden in the German Woods its placed a little from the main roads. Its a nice place and Nicolaus Klindworth behind the counter gave me an interresting tour threw their beers! Good beers and good company!“

“Visited July 2013. What a breath of fresh air this place was after visiting a clutch of German brewpubs with their boring range of murky beers. This place has a brewer trying to brew characterful beers in a range of styles, successfully in my opinion, based on the three beers I had. Nice rural location. Rather modern place.“

“A perfect pitstop on our way to Belgium. Traditionel german Brauhaus, nice beers in good condition, great german food and friendly, serviceminded staff. Easy to get to if you are in car, it is place a bit away from the motorway. Mainly a place where the locals come, but for sure worth a visit.“

“Sprawling old-style German roadhouse with lots of different drinking and eating spaces and its own microbrewery. Unlike your average German brewpub, the brewer is interested in making something beyond just another boring Pilsner. The well cooked food is a mix of traditional German and modern European, the menu even has a vegetarian section not just a vegetarian dish! Service is friendly and not over-fussy. There is WiFi but not free.“

“Brewpub with the posibility to rent a room, like an old style inn. The brewery is in the lobby. The restaurant closes at 2100, but the bar is open till late. 4 beers on tap, that you can also bring away in growlers, a bit of seasonal change. The decoration is traditionally, slightly old German with lots of wood and stone. The service was friendly, and the price very reasonable, for beer as well as the room.“
