“A nice place to have lunch after riding the Wabash Trace trail. SUPER cheap food, which is pretty decent anyway. The beers are mediocre (I’ve never seen a brown pale ale), but it tasted pretty okay. The wheat not so much. Cater cornered from the Everly Brothers childhood home!“

“I was happy with my chicken parmeasan spaghetti dinner as well as my $2 pints of beer. They only had two on tap, but both were passable. A decent little place, especially when you consider that you are in a small town in IA.“

“Visited on a Saturday night for dinner. The place was hard to find, as it looked like an old diner. I’m pretty sure this was an old railroad depot (hence the name), so it had a old-time feel to it. They only had three beers on tap, and while none were horrible, none were great. Their Vanilla Ale was there best. The food was good, much like I expected it to be. The service was pretty good, as the waitress let us change their one TV to what we wanted to watch. The value was great, as the samples of beer were free. My meal cost $11 and it consisted of a bacon cheeseburger, waffle fries, and two beers. Not a place worth traveling out of your way for, but a nice little stop nonetheless.“

“Outstanding pork tenderloin here. Service was tragic. Like their sister brewpub in Red Oak, they just don’t seem to know how to make beer.“

“Really great building with alot of potential. Just plain horrible service if you get any at all. Good selection of food an drinks but they are not edible. This is one most awfull places I have ever eaten. You can get warm crappy beer anywhere. Put on site seeing list but don’t eat or drink here.“

“Visited 8/26/05: About an hour outside Omaha, this reclaimed railroad station is a small town cafe that happens to brew some of its own beer. Owned by the same people who own the Firehouse Brewpub in Red Oak, they have the same selections here. The beers alone aren’t worth the trip into rural Iowa, but if you happen to find yourself in town on a political campaign or something, stop by and support a local brewer.“
