68 /100 Flatbread Company Bedford (Restaurant) 213 BURLINGTON ROAD Visited on a Tuesday night. Family atmosphere, fairly large restaurant with a lot of kids running around but cozy with lots of space as well. The food is quite alright here, heavy focus on local products and fresh cooking, the seasonal choices are good and overall quality is great. The beer selection actually had me wondering what I would have, it was quite well stocked. 10 taps, most of which are seasonal/rotating the waitress not only knew what they were but she could talk about them too! I had to decide if I wanted a Logsdon Seizoen, a Jack’s Abby Mass Rising or Maine Beer Co Another One amongst some slightly less interesting choices (but wow, big top 3). Nice place, not necessarily a big beer geek destination, but a solid choice if you’re in the area I’d guess. |
64 /100 Bedford Package Store (Beer Store) 297 GREAT ROAD OldGrowth called this one about right. It’s well lit, and the selection is good. Definitely more varied than the packies in Lexington which are my other usual alternatives when I’m visiting my parents. I’ve been in many times over the years, and have never asked for help, so who knows how knowledgable they are, they weren’t particularly outgoing at the register. |
58 /100 Bedford Package Store (Beer Store) 297 GREAT ROAD In a shopping mall with Stop-N-Shop, Homegoods, TJ Maxx. Nice store, seemed clean, well lit. Didn’t ask for or get offered help so score is left in middle. Not a Bad selection, Solid New England presence. Berkshire, Z street,Concord, Paper City, Magic Hat, Harpoon, Wachusett, ShipYard. Some national distributed crafts, DFH, Anchor,Sam Adams. Usual BMC / Molson stuff. Other well distributed Euro’s as well as Orval, Guldenburg, and some XX Bitter de Ranke. Not really worth going out of your way for, but if your visiting freinds in the area not a bad place. You should find something better to have. |
