“Saw this while literally wandering the streets while waiting for a bus. Was very pleasantly surprised. No crap on tap, not even Guinness or some token macro like that. Lots of NE brews though no locals other than BBC steel rail and RIS. Very fair prices (i had a pint of Ommeg Fleur de houblon for $6). Great ambiance and though i didnt have time, could have spent a few hours here going through the mezcal, fantastic whiskey and cocktail menu. Good wine list as well. They have food though how much or what kind I didnt ask. If youre in this beer wasteland, definitely head here fir a few.“

“I have to agree with hophead75-I just wasn’t overly impressed. There are much better places within a couple of miles where you get good food, great beer, a wide selection to choose from etc... Almost like a hotel bar.“

“When I stopped in just to check it out before going to the local brewpub, it seemed impressive enough: The atmosphere seemed nice- small cozy bar, clean and well organized. I saw a bunch of trappist beers in the cooler as well as Allagash White, Ayinger Celebrator, etc. When I actually came back later that night to have a beer, the story had changed quite a bit. I ordered a Berkshire Steel Rail and the bartender served it to me in a plastic cup. When I had asked if there was a beer menu available listing the prices of the beers in the cooler, I was told there was not and I would have to ask the bartender before I ordered the beer. This was frustrating, especially considering they had Karaoke going on and the music was pretty loud, making any conversation difficult. The scene: Alot of drunken frat/sorority girl types, perhaps that is not indicative of the usual crowd as there was a wedding going on at the time.

As far as Belgians/Micros go, I think this is the best place to go in Pittsfield as long as you are willing to deal with the negatives. Between the plastic cups, lack of a beer menu, loud music, dance floor, karaoke, this supposed beer bar has not committed itself to one true identity- rather it’s trying to be a beer bar, night club, and martini bar at the same time...I have yet to see a place pull that off.“
