“Tiny little building for sure, first time in 100 pass throughs that I have stopped in Reads Landing. This place was fairly empty on a Wednesday night, me and one or two tables of folks eating. They had 6-8 taps, three of which were theirs. I ordered a pint of the Kentucky Common, which was surprisingly decent given the reviews here, and chatted with the bartender while I drank it. Saw some food come out that looked pretty good. Building is kinda neat indeed. I can’t see making a special stop here, but if you find yourself in Reads Landing and hungry, you could do worse.“

“Wonderful old building set in a fantastic location right on a bend of the Mississippi. During our visit, a group of bald eagles were hunting on the iced-over portion of the river in front of the brewpub, which was sort of cool. This would be an amazing spot to chill with some beers in the summer. Unfortunately, Reads Landing’s beers didn’t quite live up to the promise suggested by the location. They were generally poor, with several displaying clear off flavors (diacetyl etc.). Hopefully they’ll work things out. On the positive side, the food menu looked surprisingly creative. I’d definitely consider eating here if I was passing through the area. Overall, stop here for the scenic views and good-looking food. Maybe skip the beer.“

“A small little place in a small riverside town. Seemed to be just about the only business there. A cool old school feel to the place with a classic bar and 8 or so tables. A nice patio looking out over the Mississippi river which would be a cool spot to relax in the summer months. Service was good but not particularly beer oriented. Only 6 taps, 5 of which were their own. Samplers were available. Food looked great but didn’t try any on my visit. Prices were quite cheap. A cool little spot if you are in the area.“

“Cool little joint on the river south of Red Wing. 3 or so house beers, couple Schells, and a Surly on tap. Didn’t eat. Service was decent. Could totally hang out here on a lazy night and watch a game on the TVs and gaze over the river.“
