“Swung by on a Saturday gameday. Given the location and the town's baffling love for the Cornhuskers, I was the only one there. It's Boiler - they adjunct the hell out of stuff but (a) they do so very well and (b) they're very good at making non-adjunct beer, so the base beer / non-adjuncted stuff is also very good. Between Boiler and Kros Strain it's very close for best in Nebraska to me, so thankfully I went to both.“

“As others have noted, it's in the south end of the middle of nowhere. Beer was pretty good--they had their own beers and beers by a nanobrewery called Swell which I assume is affiliated with them somehow. Very high UT ratings, I wasn't quite that high but still would add to my regular rotation if I lived in the area. The pastry stout especially sang to me.“

“Like an Applebee's with beer. Not sure why I took so long to rate it. If you need a family like place to take your aging parents and kids at the same time, this is it. Occasionally a decent beer and good enough food, but in Lincoln, many more options are so much better.“

“Felt like a frat bros ran brewery in a new strip mall. Beer was decent, but no food around and pale ale heavy. Okay but unless you've exhausted most other places in Lincoln, probably not worth a visit.“

“Visited with Jess in 2022. It seems like they’d been open awhile, but the pandemic delayed our visit. No outside space, but the interior was quite spacious, in an otherwise nondescript part of Lincoln. Plenty of taps of their own brews, good flights, and the beers were very solid. Would visit again.“

“Visited with Justin, Sasha, and Ben in 2022 after Gravel Worlds. They seemed to be a food/booze sponsor. I don't think this day was particularly representative of its food, but the booze was okay. Nice open space with moderate outdoor seating. Pretty nice!“

“Very nice restaurant in a less than spectacular part of Lincoln. Right around the corner from the Zipline and Boiler taprooms though, so this is a nice place to visit for a taproom crawl. Very large with one of the largest patios I've visited. Even larger tap selection and pretty good food. Biked here from Omaha and visited with Jess in 2021.“

“Nice to see that one of my favorite Nebraska breweries (and the best in Lincoln) has a new taproom. This one is quite close to two other brewery taprooms, which enlivens an otherwise vanilla southern development. Plenty of brews on tap, a large indoor, and small outdoor space). Visited after bike ride from Omaha in 2021.“

“Great selection of singles so great for getting local and regional rates. Now has taps that you can have a beer on the premises. A little bit cramped but tolerable. Nice place.“

“Seeking singles from Nebraska to get me over 100 rates, I was not disappointed. In fact I was blown away by the huge selection of singles in several big coolers. There were beers from numerous Nebraska breweries, but also from other states not widely distributed (e.g. Kentucky), not to mention from all corners of the world. Make no mistake, this is a world class bottle shop. The beer monger whose name I have forgotten, really knows his stuff, and it shows wide ranging selection. This is not one of those stores with warm shelves of singles well past their best by dates. I picked up some King Sue which was canned only two weeks earlier. I would not pass by Lincoln without stopping here. Bring a cooler and be prepared....“

“I would've never guessed a meat market would have a craft single selection like this place. A fairly large cooler area that has nothing super rare but a very nice variety of beers. All available as singles and you just might find something here you are certain for, especially with local stuff because not a lot of people would assume you'd find things here. Coupled with the outstanding butcher selection, it's not a bad stop in south Lincoln.“

“White Elm's new location in downtown Lincoln. The draft list is not as extensive as the main location and this place doesn't seem to get any of the special releases. In my opinion, if you have the time and option, the original location is easily the better place to go, but I would still go here over any other brewery in town. Nice set up just not getting the whole and true White Elm experience.“

“Really awesome cidery that is a block from N St., one of the best beer stores in town, and Code Brewing. Great location. Very small taproom that probably holds about 50 people at best but has a nice minimalist and modern vibe. Staff was super friendly. About a dozen ciders on tap, all theirs and all very good to outstanding. About $10 for a flight of 4 pours. Cool as punch cards that look like a boarding ticket to signify what you ordered. No food but looks like they have the occasional food truck outside. Not a cider guy, but would definitely recommended.“

“Visited with HuskerTan and Travlr on a Wednesday around noon. They have their own dedicated parking lot. Inside they have an impressive selection of both Nebraska and surrounding states' beers. A good many of them are available in mix pack coolers. I found 12 beers to purchase, plus visited their small tasting room, which had 12 beers on draft. They offer sample sizes of whatever they have on draft, and their draft list is impressive. I got to try King Sue for the first time here, plus some other Toppling Goliath and White Elm beers. Several barrel aged beers were on draft here as well. I was really impressed with what they have going on here.“

“Visited on a Tuesday evening with a group of three. It's located in the downstairs of the courthouse? A bit of a speakeasy vibe. Once inside it is pretty dark, but spacious. Lots of small tables and regular sized booths around. We ordered a five sample size beers. All of them were loaded with adjuncts, but they were pretty good for the most part. A bit expensive. Service was decent.“

“Visited on a Tuesday afternoon around 4 PM. It's located in a strip of other businesses, but they have dedicated parking in front. If the other businesses are open, you have to pay attention so you don't park in their spots. The taproom is big enough for about 40-50 people to comfortably be there. The bar seats around 10ish with tables for the rest. Our group of 5 took a six person table. Service was always helpful and quick. Great variety of beer on tap and a list of upcoming beers to the side. Quality of all the beer was excellent. This is a must visit spot in Lincoln. If you go nowhere else, you need to go here.“

“Visited on a Tuesday with a small group. It's located in an industrial park type area. They have a piece of their big warehouse dedicated to a tasting room, which they have made very nice and comfortable. It has the feel of a living room in many regards. The group ordered two flights and the quality of all the beer was pretty high. No food is offered here, but they do set out pretzels at all the tables at no charge. I enjoyed the variety of the beers made here. Service was okay.“

“Visited for lunch on a Tuesday around noon or 1 PM. Ultra modern location with lots of taps and a heavy focus on locally made food and beer. All of their taps were dedicated to Nebraska, though HuskerTan says they sometimes will have beer from neighboring states as well. We tried a flight of the 5168 Brewing beers as well as a flight of other Nebraska breweries. I was pretty happy with the quality of both the food and the beer. Service was even better. Very friendly and able to make recommendations that we're worthwhile. Really enjoyed this place and would definitely return if I find myself in Lincoln.“

“A nice, small, relatively new brewery. I’ve been seeing their brews on taps around Omaha recently, so it was nice to check out the taproom. Somewhat small in an industrial park in west Lincoln. Game day, so no one was around. Had a nice chat with one of the co-owners. Complementary bar snacks and a nice selection of their own brews. Picked up a crowler of their IPA.“

“This is a solid brewery, top 3 in Lincoln. Jess and I stopped by after a Huskers game in 2018. Dark interior, plenty of space. Eclectic metal vibe and non-stop Alice In Chains in the background. Crowlers and taps of their own brews, most of which are excellent. Separate room for kids to draw in (never seen that before). Comfy seating. Unreasonably expensive tasters, but I would’ve been more upset if the brews hadn’t been worth it.“

“Newest brewery in Lincoln that I have been itching to get to as I am a huge fan of Sam Riggins, the guy that opened it up. I judge this with a bit of aprehension as I am being kind of harsh. I want to like it but it wasn't a personal favorite. Set up in an old Laser Tag feeling and they've kept sort of that Indie/Hipster/Sci-Fi theme. Not my thing but whatever, it's not about me. Gave me a lonely depressed feeling. Loved the homemade long wooden benches and bar top. Staff seemed a bit pretentious like the I'm way cooler because I work at a brewery and listen to whatever is not mainstream. Again, not my vibe, but they were nice enough. My biggest pet peeve though was that tasters came 3 at a time in 6oz pours and run $10! That is overkill. Can't buy individual tasters either, so to try all 12 beers on tap, you'd be drinking 6 pints and paying $40 for it. I'll pass when it's beer that I don't absolutely love. Also located right next door to the City Mission/Homeless Shelter and off the main road behind some other buildings. I'm harsh but I also had very high expectations. I'll be back but not a regular.“

“This place just opened in Lincoln although there were already 3 locations in Omaha. Some growing pains and mediocre service by most accounts but perhaps it's just because it's new. One of the best places for an all around spot to get tons of Nebraska breweries in all of town, especially south Lincoln. $2 for a 4oz taster and very good food. Sampling the beers must be paired with an order of fried bierrocks. A bit too sports bar feeling for my taste but I image I'll be somewhat of a regular when I visit town.“

“Very cool spot. I visited before a concert in April 2017, Great tap selection full of very local Nebraska brews and a huge bottle selection. Food was great and really hit the spot. If you are ever in Lincoln, definitely check this place out. Can be quite a few college kids during the school season but not a roudy place for sure.“

“My third trip to Lincoln, Nebraska, marked my second trip to White Elm. Overall, this brewer does a variety of styles well. Farmhouse ale, IPA’s and stouts have been well above average. In my opinion, the best brewer in Nebraska without a question. The Nebraska beer scene is getting larger even as I type this but I would make this place a must stop if you are anywhere in the area. They did just start canning in small batches but get the brews right from the source. If I am back in Nebraska again, this place is my very 1st stop.“

“Very new to the Lincoln, Nebraska beer scene. Code was only open two weeks before my visit on September 1, 2017. The lineup of beer was interesting and what surprised me most was they didn’t have any IPA available to sample. (which was not a problem for me at all. It was nice to see other styles that are not found consistently).

We stopped in early on a Friday afternoon before people were out of work and we nearly had the place to ourselves. So, I can’t comment on the service. The prices for the sample beers were about $2.00 each. They do not offer food so you may want to eat before you visit. A place that has a chance to grow into a nice venue.“

“Basically Zipline 2.0 in south Lincoln. A newer location and very open concept. Food can be brought over from Art and Soul next door. Staff is pretty spaced out and hipster as is the staff at the main location. No single small pours and somewhat set flights. Literally same selection as main taproom just different location. Not a bad place. Just depends on what part of town your in as to which location to visit.“

“Visited on 3/18/2017. This was the 3rd stop in my brewery hop with HuskerTan, MetalNhophead, and my buddy Adrien. The place is located on a railroad yard in the industrial section of Lincoln. They even deleted a street since the last time HuskerTan visited. So best have your GPS on when looking for this spot. The staff didn’t have much to say at all, but I was in good company. The beer itself was average with a very nice barrel aged brews. Sample flights, full pints, Grolwers and six packs to go.“

“Visited on 3/18/2017. This was the 1st stop in a brewery hop with HuskerTan, MetalNhophead, and my buddy Adrien. Very cool history of this place that was stated in the review right before mine. I thought the food was above average. The entire group enjoyed their lunch.

They had 12 draft and some bottles and cans to go. I would return because it was a great spot to grab lunch. Beers themselves are average with one standout. “

“Maybe the best place in Lincoln, brewery wise. A bit of an awkward and not so easy to find location but a nice place. Small and quaint and really friendly service. I like their setup. Nice selection of a dozen beers on tap as well as good prices. If I lived in Lincoln, especially south Lincoln, this would easily be my go to place. I can foresee them becoming the best Nebraska brewer.“

“An okay restaurant/brewery. The beers are pretty bad and the decor is pretty standard for a modern downtown office building area. The other misty’s (north of town) has an amazing ambiance, its a shame they don’t sell the beers. Jess and I visited in 2017.“

“My first time at a TJ’s. The beer selection was pretty fair. Little did I know they have several private labels that are hard as hell to find on Ratebeer. Their beer is damn cheap and a decent variety. A few bigger names too like Bells and Ballast Point. For the price of their private label stuff, it’s pretty solid.“

“My first time in a Whole Foods. What a nice store. Super clean. The selection was the best I’ve ever seen for a grocery store. Even Deschutes Abyss still sitting in the coolers. Prices are on par with anywhere. Even a few things like Bells Hopslam still around that all the great beer stores in town went through in days, it’s still here after weeks. Kind of a hidden gem if you have exhausted other stores for your wants.“

“Awesome atmosphere. Love the speakeasy kind of vibe. A bit crowded and loud but that shouldn’t keep you away. The beers are all solid but overpriced. No actual flights. 4 oz pours that are $3-5 each. Way too pricey. And random beers, including a few core beers are only offered in 16 oz pints. Doesn’t make sense. Not a fan of their business point of view and I’ve heard mixed reactions on service (mine was good), but overall decent. A few changes to pricing and servings would maybe make this the best brewery in Lincoln.“

“Great to have this place in Lincoln! Maybe the best tap list I’ve ever seen, 120+ beers on tap and another 30+ in bottles. Food is okay, but it’s made up for with beer. 2 free 2 oz samples and then 5.5 oz pours after that. Prices are outrageous. a 5.5 oz pour of whatever is on tap ranges from $3-8. Can easily spend $50 to try a half dozen beers. I love this place but the prices will keep me away except for on special occasions.“
