68 /100 Super Cellars (Beer Store) 32 SOUTH BROAD ST Great vibe and a bit eclectic (they sell cheese, wine, spirits, beer, furniture, some cookware and even a few vintage wares). The beer selection is a bit underwhelming but they have a few gems tucked away in there. |
64 /100 The Wine Seller (Beer Store) 6 W RIDGEWOOD AVE Not a big box store but one who caters to more discerning palates. As noted, much better for wine but they do carry enough of a selection to ensure you have more than a few tasty choices. They may not be first time choices but welcome friends you’ve had before. |
52 /100 The Wine Seller (Beer Store) 6 W RIDGEWOOD AVE Another wine store that has a small selection of craft beer. This one at least has the option of making your own sixes, but only from selected individually priced bottles which you then get a discount on. The store itself is beautiful, and has a nice wine selection. If I was local I’d probably stop here for a hopeful single and get sixes at the Super Cellar. |
58 /100 Super Cellars (Beer Store) 32 SOUTH BROAD ST Walked in to a large spacious and open area with a friendly woman offering pieces of house made croissants. Past a large and ample selection of wines all the way to what comes off as an afterthought - the beer area. Decent enough selection, though a bit small. No option for mixing sixes or buying singles means I left without any beer. I did however get some cheese from the nice cheese area. Upside of their customer service is they take their time with you. Downside, is they take forever to get to you. Worth a stop for the wine and cheese, and the croissants. The beer, not so much. |
