“Visited in October 2023. Richly decorated naked brick walls, booths, long tables, and a small bar in the corner. Essentially a restaurant with a very good craft beer menu. They had 23 beers on tap. Enthusiastic staff ready to help you choose. Very good experience.“

“We came here on 28.12.2019. 2nd last stop of our Vermont trip on the way back to PA. This brewery is famous for their sour beers with a good reason. 16 beers on tap mainly sour IPA’s. We tried the Priouette and the Subglitch both brewed with raw wheat. Great taste. Also liked the atmosphere: brewery and tap room well integrated, simple interior and good music. You can purchase beers in Crowlers and Cans. Absolutely recommendable !“

“Comfortable neighborhood bar with a decent craft beer selection, not far from Hudson Valley. Food was delicious, staff were great. Good.“

“Went and queued up on a Saturday morning for a release. Queue system seems pretty good, as you get a wristband and then just need to come back at opening time. Obviously very busy for the release. Came back later in the day when it had quieted down to go through the taplist. Only a few four packs of one of the release beers left in the evening. Taproom is very much in the brewery, with tanks and barrels everywhere, and a small bar selling drafts and merch. Beers are obviously fantastic, and well worth the visit, though it does lack a little in character.“

“Fairly traditional brewpub in a fairly residential part of town. Flights of the whole taplist (7 beers on my visit). Good range of styles, most of them pretty well executed. Definitely worth a visit.“

“Long narrow bar, reasonably modern decor. Taplist excellent, with the likes of Equilibrium, Suarez, Beer Tree available on my visit. Flights available. Food fantastic. A bar that would be good anywhere in the world.“

“Visit Date: 5/5/2019 |
Really liked this spot. Came for dinner on a rainy, cool for the season Sunday evening and had a excellent meal with some really nice and fairly reasonably priced drafts. Hudson Valley and NYC breweries mostly with some other stuff from around and outside the US as well. Food was excellent - Chicken and dumplings were a complete standout for me. Fairly kid friendly as well. Great service. Lots of good food in Beacon these days, but still, I would definitely go back next time I'm in Beacon.“

“Found the place after a Dia:Beacon museum visit. Very interesting setup with Japanese fare, diner style tables, 6 taps and around 30 cans/bottles of craft beer, and a corner stage for live music! It's also quite dark, and not so clean, so enter at your own peril.“

“Visited on a trivia night, rating samples among a cheerful crowd trying to guess some musical pieces. They had 7 beers on tap and samplers for 7 ($14) or 4 beers. Hamburgers and other bar food was available. Not a very large taproom with more space available outside, on the patio. The beers were all mediocre though.“

“Hoppin place next to the train tracks at the end of Beacon's commercial district. Place was full of people and dogs. I came late in the day so there were only a few bwers left and only two kinds of four packs remaining. Still the beers were creative and tasty. Service was quick. Ambiance was good among the barrels. Plus small outdoor area. Wifi is available because no cell phone service. Four packs were quite expensive.“

“1st rating of this place. Craft beer is booming in the Hudson Valley, and here is a perfect example of some of the exciting things that are happening. Can’t say a lot about the ambience. It appears to be a converted garage in back of an office and/or apartment building. It is just a tap room in a corner of the brewery, where they sell drafts and crowlers and not much else. BUT they sell their beer, which is pretty darn good, and creative. They have a few IPAs made with fruit, and some sour, hoppy brews, and their awesome Planetary Heart. Service is a little slow, but friendly. This place has clearly caught on because on subsequent visits it was jammed, and they had added some more space.“

“Walked quite a bit from the train station but found the place worth the effort. Long narrow bar with exposed brick walls, nice soft rock music, 24 taps, a few bottles, small food menu, and interested staff. Good place to visit if in Beacon. My only disappointment was not finding many local choices among the available beer.“

“Multiple visits under both sets of owners (ownership changed in December 2016) and I’m finally getting around to rating this lovely local beer bar. 20 taps, with a load of local and regional goodies. One of the more impressive taplists within an hour drive of me in Poughkeepsie. With the new ownership they’ve added a pair of tvs off the side (no sound, so mostly innocuous if you want to avoid them), expanded hours, and days (open every day, now from noon or so), and food all the time. Beer list is excellent, service is great, and the staff are wonderful. Flights of 4 at a time are available if you wish, and they’ll happily taste you on anything if you’re not sure about what you’d like. Very much worth a visit if you’re in the area.“

“Decent little store selling a solid amount of craft. Found stuff like Grimm, Singlecut, Pipeworks, etc. Owner was working there by himself. Seemed nice enough. Convenient location right on Main Street. Would shop here if I was a local.“

“First rating of this place. It is a good craft beer bar on Main Street in Beacon. I found a couple of very interesting things on tap. The place is pretty low key, and service is friendly. There was some good light food available too. I plan to come by again.“

“Great new brewpub in Beacon (seems more like a small brewery tasting room...no food yet...not saying all brewpubs have food of course). I thoroughly enjoyed the beers during my first visit. The owner is very personable. The décor is basic...although there are some nice wall hangings and such. The local people there when I visited were also very friendly. In fact one pointed out that I still had 30 mins to drive a block to the Beacon farmers market to score some Plan Bee beer...which I did thanks to him...and to the owner who was nice enough to watch my flight on the bar while I was gone about 15 mins...lol! If you are anywhere near the Newburgh Beacon bridge...either side...make a point of visiting 2-Way.“

“A new brewpub in Beacon, located close to the train station. The atmosphere is pretty basic, and the selection as of this writing is mostly just a few of their own beers (which are very good). Stop by and help give this place a chance to grow.“

“Cozy bar that has opened in Beacon within the last year and features a good amount of craft beers. The décor is interesting, showing off some stuff (like the tile work on parts of the floors) which must have been in the building since the 50s or so. The beer list was good, offering a couple of new batches of things that I hadn’t really seen around the area before, so they’re getting newer offerings from local and regional brewers. My wife and I did dinner here after a couple beers across the river at Newburgh Brewing. Probably a good sign when the local brewery recommends you visiting the place. I was very pleased with the food, everything was well made and came out fairly quickly, in spite of it being rather crowded at the time. A good number of vegetarian options on the menu as well. Service was excellent, the bartender was super friendly. If you are in the area I’d definitely stop in. Much more laid back feel than at the other newer place in Beacon (The Hop), with some different stuff on tap, and more food. So stop at both. And Newburgh Brewing across the river.“
