“Every time we go for a walk at Canandaigua, we have to stop in at Nolan's for lunch. It's always busy and we always wait a bit for a table. It's a decent size place that clean and kind of ritzy compared to the usual places I get a beer. Not a big beer selection but they'll have a few decent Beers to choose from. Food is great. Patty really enjoys going here.“

“Very small place off the side of the highway, kind of chill in the afternoon. Quiet, laidback, locals hangout. Good service.“

“Another new-ish brewery in Canandaigua. Modern interior, sparsely furnished, long bar. Taps were heavy on the NEIPAs, but the variety was such that it wasn't boring. Great service too. easy parking.“

“Lovely location on the lake, beautiful vistas, nice breeze. Decent tap selection. Service was fast with a Capital F. Food and beer were passable but the view is worth the trip.“

“Patty and I stopped in today(Friday) just past noon to try a couple beers and bring NADA home to try later. The owner talked to us about Dobers moving out of old location and moving across the street from him in the coming months. The beer was nice. Nice small place.“

“We stopped in today(Friday) when they 1st opened at noon. I had a flight of NEIPAs and just the PB popcorn for a snack. The beer was very good and popcorn $8. Nice size and a clean place. We sat outside.“

“Nice place right in the heart of the commercial district of Canandaigua. They have a parking lot, that is huge, and there is a town lot a couple blocks away, which we used. Popular hangout, lots of outdoor seating with heaters and firepits. Industrial sort of place on the inside, some food options centered around bread, e.g bread bowl and pizza. Great beer, and vibe, worth a stop. They new their beer, nicely explaining differences between IPAs on the menu. Lots of styles represented too.“

“This was at the new location. Great spot, seems like a former house. Went on the 4th a very very hot day. Not much A/C on the first floor but 2 room air conditioners upstairs. Friendly, good service, lots of beer choices on tap.“

“Great location, place was buzzing, lots of old people here on their way to see the Who. Efficient staff, answered some questions and had some smiles for us. We will definitely be back. Canandaigua is becoming a mecca.“

“Stopped by on the way to the Who concert at CMAC. Quite laid back. One of the proprieters chatted with us a while about beer and business. We liked what we tasted and will be back.“

“"They Moved Down To the Lake" Nice small place about 100 feet of so from the water. Plenty of outside seating. It was nice today. THey had 9 of their beers on tap and several ciders. Their sandwiches.were ok. They had 6 packs of some of their beers on sale. I did not see any prices listed in the room were the warm six packs were on display. I wanted to buy some single bottles, but again no prices and none of the 6 packs were broken. It was a nice time by the lake.“

“Nice new clean building just across the street from the lake. 14 beers on tap. 6 of them theirs and the rest from 4 other brewers not too far away. Fast service from the 3 servers behind the large bar. Plenty of outdoor seating. Some inside seating. Just bar snacks for food. A nice place to visit.“

“A charming spot right on the water front. Service is iffy. When we were there the owners parents were taking a shift and had no clue and completely messed up our orders twice. But to be fair it is kinda endearing if you have the patience. The owner did come out and fix everything and tried to make nice which was nice. Beer list and prices are OK, and they have a dozen guest taps and ciders as well which helps. Beer is OK, but nothing special. Not a great stop but a decent one if you are in the area and it is a nice day. The rail spike bottle openers are pretty cool too.“

“A gift shop like room that looks fare different than most tap rooms. The system is one glass at a time and your are going to get 1 on 1 service explaining each beer. When you are done you get the glass and pay a tiny amount. If you buy anything you get a discount. They are flogging their beer and making sure you understand and pay a nominal amount. I like this system even though I think the beer was just average. A decent stop if you are in the area.“

“Best deal in the area $4 for all six beer samples plus you get to keep the glass plus get $2 any in-house purchase. You can’t beat that.“

“Local feel. Brewers parents were bartending and seemed a little confused about what was on tap. Beers are slightly above average for the area.“

“Stopped by before Ringo concert to pick up some bottles to pre game. Don’t want to be drinking the flea-pac beers or prices. Standard Weg’s selection. We went with the pic 6. Okay, not worth a special trip.“

“This is a small taproom serving 6 of their own beers. There is no food but they are next door to a place that will serve. The beers I had were okay. The bartenders were pleasant and knowledgeable. There is nothing special here but it is solid local beer.“

“Nice sports bar feel with plenty of seats at the bar, several TV’s, a outdoor seating area and a separate eating area if you want more space and it has it’s own big screen also. Nice waitresses brought us some good subs and wings. Some good beer selections on tap and bottles.“

“The Twisted Rail Brewpub is next door; they are partnered but separate in terms of ordering, menus, paying, everything like that. Great tap selection here. 32 they told us, with lots of locals and also a few surprises from around the country. Food was hardy but a bit pedestrian. Service was fast but not very knowledgeable about the beers. Darn good place overall.“

“Next door to the Bee Hive, which is a separate establishment with 32 taps. Here they had 5 taps of house beer, $5 tasters (4 beers, though we got 5). Nice friendly people who could talk about the beer, nice place to hang. The beers were interesting but actually several of them needed a bit of work. Look forward to seeing them progress.“

“Pretty hopping when we were there. Growler fills and tastings only, no drafts. Super friendly. Lots of traffic from busloads of drunks on tour. We decided it was too crowded.“

Wegmans - Canandaigua (Grocery Store)

“OK, normally I wouldn’t add and rate a grocery store for beer selection, but like Whole Foods in many places, Wegmans in Canandaigua kicks butt. There are three big sections at the end of three aisles dedicated to beer. You can’t break six packs here, but there are many single bombers and 750’s available. There are tons of NY micros and regional favorites, along with US micros, macros, and European imports. An entire section is dedicated just to Belgians, including 4 different Trappist breweries. I picked up some nice stuff to take home. Much of it is also available in the cooler section, too, in case you’re going to drink it soon after purchase. If you’re in the Finger Lakes near Keuka Lake or in town, this is a good place to go. The Wegmans in Ithaca wasn’t nearly as good.“
