“This is about as a one-stop shop as you could get - wine, cigars and of course, beer! The beer selection isn’t all that stellar, as they don’t leave much room for the bottles. You have to find a small little room right off the front entrance to get to the beer. They have some local micros, like Weeping Radish and some others from NC. Your wife or girlfriend will be pleased with this store too, because they can taste a few wines while you peruse the beer selection. The cigar selection is quite extensive and of very good quality, too. If you’re up in the Corolla area for your vacation or whatnot, this is definitely a place for you to check out.“

“Originally reviewed: 9/14/09. Stopped by here to grab a cigar for the evening, and what to my surprise, there’s a small room off to the right dedicated to beer! The number of beers available wasn’t very numerous, but what was there was pretty quality stuff. He carried selections from Stone, Duck-Rabbit, Highland, Bell’s, Victory, Terrapin, Harpoon, etc. Not too bad for this area. All bottles were room temp. There were a few sixpacks, but most everything was in single bottle form. The guy behind the register never acknowledged me, and never looked up when I paid. He just stared at his computer. The service was lacking, but apart from that, this is a decent place to grab some beer when in Corolla, rather than driving the good bit to Nags Head/Kill Devil Hills.“

“The two main reasons this place gets this good of a rating is because on it’s on the Outer Banks and it’s a drive-thru store. You don’t even have to get out of your car! The store has some cool signs and quirky service. But that makes it all the better. The selection is your usual beer distributor stuff. I used to make the Brew Thru a yearly tradition, but now, I really only stop in unless I really have to because I feel too lazy to get out of the car for beer, or if I’m with someone on vacation who hasn’t experienced it before. They do come out with a new t-shirt design every year, which I used to collect. This is a very fun place to visit.“

“Drive-thru store... regional chain. Great service and reasonable selection. Very helpful staff and convenient when you are lazy (want to stay seated) or know exactly what you want.“
