“Back in ’08’ We stayed at Nags Head in a large house on the ocean with the alessi’s and Lacagnina’s. We stopeed here for one of the group meals. Had a couple good craft beers and a decent meal.“

“A place that’s only worth a visit for the novelty of the experience. It’s a drive-thru beer store. Basically, the place is set up like a car wash. You drive into a space that has a bunch of coolers visible from the car. An attendant comes out and you tell them what you want. You’re unable to leave the car to check out the selection. Honestly, you won’t want to leave your car since you’d find a much better beer selection at a 7/11. All the beer is available in six packs or cases. The 30 or so beers available are BMC or mega craft like SN. Prices are relatively cheap. Service is acceptable. Overall, places like this just clutter up the map.“

“All these Brew Thru’s are basically the same, but if we are gonna list em individually, I guess I gotta rate em all! The service is great, because you obviously don’t need to get out of your car. You’re gonna want to after you get your beer, though, because they have a shop inside full of shirts, bottle huggies, bottle openers and all kinds of other cool stuff. Maybe it’s just the novelty of the concept and being on vacation, but I dig the Brew Thru. I gotta stop by one at least once each time I’m on the Banks, just for the tradition and the heck of it!“

“Stopped in here while on vacation. My friends were looking for a sports bar to watch a football game... This is the place for that if you are in Nags Head. Lots of TVs, rowdy crowds...good times. Beer selection I was actually impressed, they had some respectable beers on tap. Stone, Bells, Dog, etc.... Not bad.“

“Good food, service, and kid friendly. Like the pool tables in back. Been here many times in the past, but there are better beer places on the Outer Banks nowadays. Still a good place to get a nice meal with a decent beer selection.“

“This is your local corner bar at a beach resort. We arrived with a party of 6 and had about an hour wait. They asked us if we wouldn’t mind eating in the bar with a zero wait. The bar it was. Nice and noisy with a mostly local crowd. A couple of TV’s were spaced around and there was a pool table. The waiter was knowledgeable about the selection and offered a few suggestions. I had a Two Hearted ale on tap while the younger members had a range of seasonals and fruit beers. We had an assortment of bar food and a fresh tuna dish. All were very good. The bill for 6 with tip was less than $120.00. Not a bad value anywhere but especially so at a beach town in season. The place is owned by a guy from Pittsburgh and another from Philly so the decor and menu reflect those areas. The decor Pittsburgh and the menu Philly. One of us had a Philly cheesesteak wit. It was good with real wiz on top. This is coming from a Philly guy. Try it out when in the Outer Banks.“

“Had a great BBQ tuna with mango salsa. Good selection on tap - Oberon, Magic Hat, Chimay, Yuengling, Dogfish Head, Pyramid and the usual suspects. Good service, good food and good beer.“

“Real fresh simple seafood and very good bar food. The service is very good. Lots of beers on tap with many styles represented. Not many local NC breweries though. There is a pool table in the back. Kids are welcome. We didn’t have to wait very long even though we went on a week night in the middle of the summer. Go for the beer.“

“There are slim pickings on the Outer Banks for a decent selection of beer, and this might be the best of the lot. 18 beers on tap, including some Brooklyn, Sierra Nevada, and Pyramid, plus a seasonal beer or two. Nothing to knock your socks off (and with NC alcohol laws, there is no such place), but for excellent for the location. Plus, the food is also excellent. Altogether, it was a very nice find on the last night I was in the area.“
